A recording apparatus includes a storage unit, a supply flow path, a degassing unit, and a temperature adjustment unit. The storage unit stores liquid that is supplied to a recording head that discharges the liquid. The supply flow path connects the storage unit and the recording head. The degassing unit degases the liquid flowing in the supply flow path. The temperature adjustment unit is positioned between the storage unit and the degassing unit and adjusts a temperature of the liquid flowing in the supply flow path.

A liquid cartridge configured to be inserted in a frontward direction to a printer includes: a housing; a liquid supply portion; a circuit board; a plate; and a detection portion. The circuit board includes an electrode group facing upward in an upright posture of the liquid cartridge. The electrode group includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a third electrode for grounding. The first to third electrodes are arrayed in a lateral direction crossing the frontward direction and a gravitational direction such that the third electrode is positioned between the first and second electrodes. In the upright posture of the liquid cartridge, the plate and the detection portion are respectively positioned upward and rearward relative to the circuit board. Each of the third electrode and an upper portion of the plate is positioned a datum plane extending in the frontward direction and in the gravitational direction.

PRINTING SYSTEM AND CARTRIDGE FOR A PRINTING SYSTEM

A cartridge for a printing system comprises a receptacle to receive waste printing material from the printing system, a floater to change its position based on a varying filling level of the waste printing material in the receptacle, and a flag mechanically coupled to the floater, wherein a position of the flag depends on the position of the floater and indicates, outside of the receptacle, the filling level.

Inkjet recording apparatus including pivot member provided in storage chamber of tank and having first protrusion and second protrusion

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a tank, a pivot member and a first surface. The tank has a storage chamber configured to store a liquid therein. The pivot member is disposed in the storage chamber. The pivot member is configured to pivotally move about an axis extending in an axial direction in a case where a level of a liquid surface of the liquid becomes equal to a predetermined liquid level. The pivot member includes a float and a first protrusion. The float has a specific gravity smaller than that of the liquid. The first protrusion protrudes toward the first surface. The first protrusion and the first surface provide a gap therebetween. The first protrusion is at a position in contact with the liquid in a state where the level of the liquid surface of the liquid is at the predetermined liquid level.

Image forming apparatus and computer-readable storage medium

An image forming apparatus, having a cartridge detachably attached to the image forming apparatus and including a first compartment configured to store a colorant, a container configured to be connected with the cartridge and including a second compartment configured to store the colorant flowing from the cartridge, and a display configured to display a first object indicating a first remainder amount and a second object indicating a second remainder amount in a single screen, is provided. The first remainder amount is a remainder amount of the colorant stored in the first compartment, and the second remainder amount is a remainder amount of the colorant stored in the second compartment.

Liquid consuming device and liquid consuming system

A liquid consuming device includes an installation case configured to receive a cartridge having a first liquid chamber storing a liquid, a tank having a second liquid chamber, a flow path communicated with the first and second liquid chambers, a head communicated with the second liquid chamber and a first controller configured to: determine a total amount Vt of a first liquid amount in the first liquid chamber that is installed in the installation case to communicate with the second liquid chamber through the flow path and a second liquid amount in the second liquid chamber that communicates with the first liquid chamber of the cartridge installed in the installation case through the flow path; and transmit, through a first communication interface that is connected to an external device, total amount information indicating the determined total amount Vt.

LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS

A liquid ejection apparatus is equipped with a liquid ejection head configured to eject a supplied liquid, a storage unit configured to store the liquid to be supplied to the liquid ejection head, a pivot member configured to be dipped in the stored liquid in the storage unit and be revolvable according to the amount of the liquid, and a detection unit configured to detect the amount of the liquid by use of the pivot member, wherein the arrangement position of the detection unit differs according to the specific gravity of the liquid stored in the storage unit.

SUB-TANK AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS

A sub-tank is disposed in a flow path from a main tank to a recording head. The sub-tank includes a tank main body, a level sensor and a flow restricting part. In the tank main body, ink replenished from the main tank is contained. The level sensor detects a liquid level of the ink in the tank main body. The flow restricting part restricts flowing of the ink in an upper-and-lower direction in the tank main body. The flow path is connected to the tank main body at a position below the flow restricting part. The flow restricting part is disposed at a position below a lower limit level of the liquid level.
