FLUID SUPPLIES
A printing device interface to receive a fluid supply may include a fluid dock arranged on an external surface of a housing of the printing device, the fluid dock further arranged to receive a mechanical interface of a fluid supply wherein the arrangement of the fluid dock on the external surface of the housing enables use of a center of mass and weight of the fluid supply to maintain a mechanical, fluidic, and electrical connection with the fluid supply.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE
A liquid cartridge includes a first surface, a second surface spaced apart from the first surface, and a third surface extending between the first surface and the second surface, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the third surface. A locking mechanism includes a locking surface that extends above the third surface, and a liquid detection mechanism includes a light access portion. The light access portion is disposed between the circuit board and the locking surface, and the circuit board is disposed between the first surface and the light access portion.
Information processing apparatus generating display screen data based on information on residual quantity of printing agent
In an information processing apparatus, a processor acquires first and second information on residual quantities of printing agent stored in first and second cartridges respectively. The first cartridge is mounted on a portion including a tank. The processor generates display screen data including first and second objects. The first object has a first position corresponding to a minimum residual quantity of the printing agent in a first state where the printing agent remains in the first cartridge. The second object has a second position corresponding to a maximum residual quantity of the printing agent, and a third position corresponding to a minimum residual quantity of the printing agent in a second state where the printing agent does not remain in the first cartridge but remains in the tank. The first position and one of the second and third positions are aligned at a reference position.
SYSTEM
A system includes: a housing; a cover that is supported by the housing to be movable between a covering position and an opened position; a tank; a reservoir; and a liquid discharging head that is disposed inside the housing and discharges liquid supplied from the tank, wherein the reservoir includes a liquid passage hole; the tank includes a passage tube that extends upward from the tank and is connectable to the liquid passage hole of the reservoir, the cover includes: a first wall that is positioned above the housing at the covering position, and a second wall that extends downward from an edge of the first wall, and when the cover is positioned at the covering position and the reservoir is connected to the tank, an upper end of the reservoir is positioned above a lower end of the second wall.
INK-JET PRINTING APPARATUS
An ink-jet printing apparatus includes an ink-cartridge mounting unit to which an ink cartridge having a first ink chamber containing ink is to be mounted, and a second ink chamber. The second ink chamber stores ink supplied from the first ink chamber. The ink-jet printing apparatus is configured such that, in a case where the ink cartridge is mounted to the ink-cartridge mounting unit, the second ink chamber can be viewed from outside of the ink-jet printing apparatus. An equation 0.5≤L≤d≤1.2 L is satisfied, where d is a length of the second ink chamber, and L is a length of the ink cartridge in a direction in which the ink cartridge is inserted into the ink-jet printing apparatus.
INK TANK WITH INTEGRATED FILTER
An ink tank for an ink delivery system includes: a housing having an ink inlet port and an ink outlet port; an air vent communicating with a headspace of the ink tank; a filter positioned in the housing for filtering ink supplied from the ink tank via the ink outlet port; and a baffle plate positioned in the housing between the ink inlet port and the filter. The baffle plate is configured for directing air bubbles entering the ink tank via the ink inlet port towards the headspace of the ink tank. A baffle opening is positioned towards a base of the ink tank, thereby allowing ink to flow from the ink inlet port towards the ink outlet port via the baffle opening.
LIQUID REMAINING AMOUNT DETECTING MECHANISM
A liquid remaining amount detecting mechanism includes a rotating member that is disposed in a storage chamber of a tank that stores a liquid, and a sensor. The rotating member is rotatable about a shaft and includes a float that receives buoyancy from the liquid, a detection target portion that is detectable by the sensor, and a through-hole into which the shaft is inserted. The sensor is disposed at a position facing a portion of a locus of the detection target portion when the rotating member is rotated. The liquid remaining amount detecting mechanism further includes a liquid pool portion, at least a portion of which is located between an outer peripheral surface of the shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the through-hole to hold the liquid.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A technique with which deterioration in a function of detecting the remaining amount of liquid can be prevented even in a case where the liquid is thickened or solidified is to be provided. A liquid ejection apparatus is provided with a liquid ejection head configured to eject supplied liquid, a storage unit configured to store the liquid to be supplied to the liquid ejection head, a pivot member configured to be immersed in the liquid stored in the storage unit and be revolvable according to the amount of the liquid, and a detection unit configured to detect the amount of the liquid by use of the pivot member, and the liquid ejection apparatus includes a pivot unit configured to force the pivot member to pivotally move.
PRINT HEAD MAINTENANCE ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein is a print head maintenance assembly, a printing device and a method of controlling a print head maintenance assembly in a printing device. The print head maintenance assembly comprises a maintenance cartridge comprising a positioning flag, wherein the maintenance cartridge is movable along a maintenance path in a direction of movement; and a sensor to detect the positioning flag to determine the position of the maintenance cartridge along the maintenance path.
LIQUID STORAGE CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A liquid storage container includes a container main body that is capable of storing a liquid and at least a portion of which includes a translucent outer wall; a support member that is integrally formed with the container main body; and a rotation member that is rotatably supported by the support member. The rotation member includes a float that rotates due to fluctuations in a liquid level of the liquid, and a display member that rotates in conjunction with the float and is capable of displaying a position of the float to an outside through the translucent outer wall.
