Sensing rods with tips for fluid detection
An example of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a current source. The apparatus includes a conductor in electrical communication with the current source and a conductive fluid in a reservoir. The apparatus includes a first sensing rod to extend into the reservoir, wherein the first sensing rod has a first diameter. The apparatus includes a tip disposed at an end of the first sensing rod to interact with a surface of the conductive fluid. The tip has a second diameter over a first portion of the tip adjacent to the first sensing rod. The second diameter is smaller than the first diameter. The apparatus includes a sensor to detect an electrical signal between the conductor and the first sensing rod.
Storing information in a toner refill kit during toner refill
An example operation method of an image forming apparatus includes determining a state of a toner refill operation of injecting toner from a toner reload kit (TRK) into a cartridge in the image forming apparatus, based on completion of injecting toner from the TRK into the cartridge, controlling the TRK to store information indicating a toner refill completion in a memory of the TRK, based on completion of injecting toner from the TRK into the cartridge, updating information of an amount of remaining toner of the cartridge based on an amount of the toner injected into the cartridge from the TRK, and based on the information indicating the toner refill completion being stored in the memory of the TRK, unlocking a locking apparatus in the image forming apparatus so the TRK may be removed from the cartridge.
Image recording apparatus
An image recording apparatus includes a liquid chamber that stores liquid, a first electrode pin and a second electrode pin to be inserted into the liquid chamber, applying unit for applying voltage across the first electrode pin and the second electrode pin, with the first electrode pin as an anode side and the second electrode pin as a cathode side, and detecting unit for detecting electric current flowing, and detection operation of detecting amount of liquid in the liquid chamber by the detecting unit detecting the electric current when the applying unit applies voltage. Prior to the detection operation, an oxidization aging operation is performed, in which the applying unit applies voltage across the first electrode pin and the second electrode pin. An amount of an oxide layer formed on at least a portion of the first electrode pin exposed inside the liquid chamber is greater than the second.
LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS, AND LIQUID SUPPLY DEVICE
A liquid supply system includes one or a plurality of tubes, a liquid delivery mechanism, and a processor. The one or plurality of tubes is connected to a tank. The tank is configured to store the liquid and is provided further upstream than the printer. The liquid delivery mechanism is provided in the one or plurality of tubes and configured to switch between a liquid delivery state and a stopped state. The processor performs liquid delivery processing of controlling the liquid delivery mechanism to be in the liquid delivery state and the stopped state based on a remaining amount indicated by a signal from a sensor. The sensor is configured to detect the remaining amount of the liquid inside the tank or inside the printer.
LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS, AND LIQUID SUPPLY DEVICE
A liquid supply system includes one or a plurality tubes, a supply mechanism, a first sensor and a processor. The one or plurality tubes is connected to a tank. The tank is provided further upstream than a printer. The one or plurality of supply tubes configured to supply the liquid from the tank toward the printer. The supply mechanism is provided in the one or plurality of tubes, and switches between a supply state and a supply stopped state. The processor determines, based on a signal from the first sensor, whether the server remaining amount is equal to or less than a predetermined remaining amount. When the server remaining amount is equal to or less than the predetermined remaining amount, the processor supplies the liquid from the tank toward the printer via the one or plurality of supply tubes.
Storing information in toner refill kit during toner refill
An example operation method of an image forming apparatus includes determining a state of a toner refill operation of injecting toner from a toner reload kit (TRK) into a cartridge in the image forming apparatus, based on completion of injecting toner from the TRK into the cartridge, controlling the TRK to store information indicating a toner refill completion in a memory of the TRK and updating information of an amount of remaining toner of the cartridge based on an amount of the toner injected into the cartridge from the TRK.
LIQUID DISCHARGE DEVICE
Aspects of a disclosure relates to a liquid discharge device enables previously disabled liquid discharge through a head after a cartridge including a first liquid chamber is replaced and before the liquid level in a second liquid chamber of a tank reaches a predetermined level or higher. Another aspect of the disclosure relates to a liquid discharge device that deactivates an alarm after a cartridge including a first liquid chamber is replaced and before the liquid level in a second liquid reaches a predetermined level or higher.
