Liquid container
A liquid container includes: a case having a liquid introduction port through which liquid is introduced and a storage portion that stores the liquid; and an absorber stored in the case and configured to absorb the liquid. The absorber includes multiple absorbent resins that swell by absorbing the liquid and a substrate that supports the absorbent resins and allows the liquid to permeate therethrough. With the absorbent resins swelling by absorbing the ink, at least some of the absorbent resins are spaced apart from the adjacent absorbent resins.
LIQUID EJECTION DEVICE
A liquid ejection device includes a medium set section that is configured to set a medium, a support section that is configured to support the medium, a recording section that ejects ink onto the medium supported by the support section to record, a liquid container mounting section to which a liquid container that contains the ink to be supplied to the recording section is attached, and a waste liquid container mounting section to which a waste liquid container that stores ink discharged as waste liquid from the recording section is attached, wherein the liquid container mounting section and the waste liquid container mounting section are provided at position below the support section and overlap with the medium set section as viewed from a direction along a transport direction in which the medium is transported in the support section.
WASTE INK CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A waste ink conveying device includes a waste ink tank installed in a tank installed part, and a tank cover opening/closing the tank installed part. The tank cover includes a nozzle, a nozzle operation part and a cover locking part. The nozzle flowing a waste ink is inserted in an inflow port in the waste ink tank. The nozzle operation part switches projecting and retracting of the nozzle to insert and retract the nozzle to the inflow port. The cover locking part switches locking and unlocking of closing of the tank cover. If the cover locking part is in a locking state and the nozzle is in a retracting state, the cover locking part can be switched to an unlocking state. If the cover locking part is in the locking state and the nozzle is in a projecting state, the cover locking part cannot be switched to the unlocking state.
Liquid discharge apparatus and waste liquid amount detection method
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge section configured to discharge liquid onto a medium, a holding section capable of holding a waste liquid container capable of containing waste liquid exhausted from the liquid discharge section, a sensor capable of detecting a state in which a containing amount of the waste liquid container has reached a threshold value, and a calculation section configured to calculate a waste liquid amount based on an exhaust amount of the waste liquid exhausted by the liquid discharge section. In the case where the sensor has detected the state in which the containing amount has reached the threshold value, the calculation section calculates the waste liquid amount by adding the exhaust amount of the waste liquid exhausted after the detection of the state by the sensor to the threshold value.
Inkjet printer
A printer includes a head that injects a liquid, a cleaning mechanism, a waste liquid path, a waste liquid tank that is detachably attached and collects waste liquid, a displaceable member that is displaced to a first position when the waste liquid tank is attached and is displaced to a second position when the waste liquid tank is detached, a liquid receiving portion that is provided on the displaceable member and is located directly below an outlet of the waste liquid path when the waste liquid tank is not attached, a detection target that is provided on the displaceable member and moves together with the displaceable member, and a sensor that detects the detection target.
Waste liquid tank and printer
A waste liquid tank includes a case. The case includes a first accommodating portion having an inlet and a first communication opening, a second accommodating portion having a second communication opening and a connecting portion connecting the first communication opening and the second communication opening, wherein a cross-sectional area of the connecting portion is less than a cross-sectional area of the first accommodating portion and is less than a cross-sectional of the second accommodating portion. The waste liquid tank includes a first absorber accommodated in the first accommodating portion, a second absorber accommodated in the second accommodating portion and a third absorber accommodated in the connecting portion. The connecting portion includes a passage defined between the third absorber and a peripheral portion of the connecting portion, the passage allowing the first accommodating portion to communicate with the second accommodating portion and for air to pass therethrough.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a plurality of medium containing units that is provided along a vertical direction and contains a medium before recording, a liquid ejecting head that performs recording by ejecting liquid toward the medium, and at least one liquid containing unit that contains the liquid. The plurality of medium containing units includes a first medium containing unit located at an uppermost position, and a second medium containing unit located below the first medium containing unit. A size of the first medium containing unit in a medium feeding-out direction, in which the medium is fed out, is smaller than a size of the second medium containing unit in the medium feeding-out direction, and the at least one liquid containing unit is provided above the second medium containing unit in such a way as to overlap with the first medium containing unit in a vertical direction.
Liquid discharge apparatus, cleaning apparatus, and cleaning method
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a casing, a liquid discharge head that includes a nozzle for discharging a liquid supplied from a liquid supply source provided in the casing, a waste liquid tank that accommodates in the casing a fluid emitted from the nozzle, and an outlet opening for emitting the fluid emitted from the nozzle to an outside of the casing without emitting the fluid into the waste liquid tank provided in the casing.
INK ABSORBING MEMBER ACCOMMODATION CONTAINER AND INK ABSORBING STRUCTURE
An ink absorbing member accommodation container includes: an accommodation container that has an accommodation space for accommodating an ink absorbing member containing water-absorbable resin capable of absorbing ink inside the accommodation container and that includes an inlet port through which the ink flows into the accommodation space; and a flying preventing mechanism that prevents a constituent material of the ink absorbing member from flying from the inlet port to an outside of the accommodation container.
Wipe Unit and Ink-Jet Recording Apparatus Including the Same
A wipe unit cleans a recording head having an ink discharge surface on which an ink discharge opening that discharges an ink onto a recording medium opens. The wipe unit includes a wiper and a collecting tray. The wiper wipes off an ink forcibly extruded from the ink discharge opening. The collecting tray is arranged under the wiper. The collecting tray collects the ink wiped off with the wiper. The collecting tray includes a discharge port and a plurality of ribs. The discharge port discharges the collected ink downward, and the plurality of ribs are arranged so as to surround a peripheral area of the discharge port and arranged with a predetermined interval from one another in a circumferential direction of the discharge port.
