A control system for an air maintenance tire system is provided. The control system includes a sensor unit that in turn includes a pressure sensor for measuring a pressure in the tire cavity and an antenna for transmitting pressure data. A processor receives the pressure data and includes a memory for storing a predetermined low-pressure threshold. Actuation means that are in communication with the processor and actuate and de-actuate operation of the air maintenance tire system. A first signal is transmitted from the processor to the actuation means to actuate operation of the air maintenance tire system when the measured pressure in the tire cavity is below the threshold. A second signal is transmitted from the processor to the actuation means to de-actuate operation of the air maintenance tire system when the measured pressure in the tire cavity is at or above the threshold.

The invention relates to a method for managing data relating to an assembly forming a wheel (R) of a vehicle (C), said wheel (R) including a tyre mounted on a rim, said wheel having a measurement module (110), said tyre having an identifier made up of a radio tag (200) such as an RFID marker, said wheel being capable of having different states: mounted in which said tyre is mounted on the rim; and unmounted in which said tyre is not mounted on the rim, in which the measurement module (110) detects a pressure variation inside the tyre, and in which the storage memory of said measurement module (110) is rewritable, characterised in that said method consists of in the event of a pressure variation, replacing the data stored in the measurement module (110) with new data from another tyre. The invention is useful in the management of data relating to tyres and wheels.

Tire pressure detector with wheel balancing function and wheel balancing system thereof

A tire pressure detector disposed at a wheel, wherein the wheel includes a rim and a tire mounted around the rim, with a pressure space formed between the tire and the rim. The rim includes an air tap connected with the pressure space. The tire pressure detector includes a main body movably disposed in the pressure space and provided with a housing space, and a detection module disposed in the housing space. The detection module further includes a sensing unit for sensing the air pressure in the pressure space and producing a pressure signal. A central processing unit of the detection module receives the pressure signal and wirelessly transmits the pressure signal through the wireless transmission unit. Therefore, vibration and waving issue due to imbalance weight is avoided, thus balancing the wheel.

Low power sensor communication using two or fewer wires

A device includes a first control element which transitions a sensor module between an active and an inactive mode. A second control element is configured to adjust currents drawn by the sensor module during the inactive modesuch currents corresponding to sensor readings. A processor is coupled by a power signal to a sensor module, which operates over an active sensor, a transition, and a data transfer state. Currents drawn during the active sensor state are substantially constant. During transition, currents decrease from the substantially constant current to a minimum current. During data transfer, currents vary between the substantially constant current and the minimum current. A logical element is configured to monitor the current drawn by the sensor module and, based on variations therein, determine the operating state of the sensor module. A method for using the processor is also disclosed.

A tire pressure detector with protection shell is applied to a wheel. The wheel has a rim having an air tap and a tire mounted around the rim, with an air pressure space formed between the tire and the rim. The tire pressure detector includes a shell and a detector body. The shell is movably disposed in the air pressure space, and the detector body is disposed in a housing space of the shell. The detector body is includes a detection module for detecting the air pressure in the air pressure space, generating a pressure signal, and wirelessly transmitting the pressure signal. Therefore, by improving the structural strength of the tire pressure detector with the shell, the tire pressure detector is conveniently installed without the need of other additional tools.
