An operator compartment of a rail vehicle includes two front windows separated by a connection beam, a track monitoring camera attached in a lower region of the connection beam by a fastening device, and a front window roll-up sun shield which can be drawn in the interior of the operator compartment and has guides running along both sides of the front windows. The guides have lower retaining devices. In order to allow a comparably simple attachment of the roll-up sun shield and the track monitoring camera in the operator compartment, a longitudinal member is attached to a lower region of the connection beam. The longitudinal member retains the fastening device, has mutually opposite guides and has the lower retaining devices for the roll-up sun shield. An assembly device for a track camera and a front window roll-up sun shield of a rail vehicle is also provided.

When not in use, the shade component is concealed at the base of the dashboard of the vehicle. Further, the top of the shade component comprises a flexible rod, which allows the shade component to conform to the shape of a windshield. The shade component is raised or lowered over a vehicle windshield to keep the vehicle's interior cool and prevent UV damage.

The second sun visor tube extends along the second telescoping slide rail linearly to distance from the automobile sun visor. The first sun visor tube extends along the first telescoping slide rail linearly to a distance beyond the second sun visor tube. The third sun visor tube remains in a static relationship with the automobile sun visor. The system is deployed by two movements by a user. The first movement extends the first sun visor tube, which engages the second sun visor tube and extends it also. The second movement pulls the second retractable sun visor downward, bringing with it by its connection through rings to the first and third retractable sun visors.

An enclosure mounted adjacent to the spring roller houses rechargeable batteries and squirrel cage fans.
