An adapter rail system for mounting objects to a floor rail in a vehicle includes an elongate adapter rail element, an arresting element and a movement rail element. The adapter rail element has a surface contour having regularly consecutively arranged neckings and widenings, which surface contour corresponds to an opening contour of a floor rail, which includes regularly consecutively arranged grid openings, which are penetrated by a slit. The adapter rail element has protrusions extending perpendicular to the plane spanned by the surface contour and are each arranged in the region of a necking. The arresting element has a surface contour corresponding to the opening contour of at least one grid opening. The arresting element is dimensioned to be flush between two adjacent protrusions of the adapter rail element onto the adapter rail element. The movement rail element is connectable with the protrusions of the adapter rail element.

A cover is mounted on the track, and includes a plurality of fingers being individually pivotally connected to the track between a cover position and an open position. Each finger in the cover position blocking a portion of the slot from the area outside of the track. Each finger in the open position opening a respective portion of the slot to the area outside of the track. The plurality of fingers and the longitudinal edges of the extension being shaped configured to move the plurality of fingers from the cover position to the open position as the carriage moves along the track and against the plurality of fingers.

The sliding device includes: a fixed rail including an opening opened upward, the opening being arranged in a longitudinal direction of the fixed rail; a movable rail slidable relative to the fixed rail in a state where at least part of the movable rail is exposed through the opening; and a first closure member slidable relative to the fixed rail and capable of closing at least part of the opening, the first closure member receiving a force from the movable rail to thereby slide in a state where an opposed surface opposed to the movable rail is spaced apart from the movable rail via a clearance. The movable rail includes a support portion that supports the first closure member in a slidable manner.
