A system for detecting the presence of an occupant in a child seat is provided. The system includes at least two sensor modules positioned to detect acceleration of the child seat. The sensor modules provide signals representative of the acceleration detected at the first and send sensor modules to a controller. The controller includes signal processing circuitry for processing the signal to determine whether the signals received from the sensor modules are representative of the physiological motion of the occupant. The controller processes the signals received from the sensor modules to isolate acceleration of the child seat from the motion of the vehicle.

Aspects of the disclosure include a frame that has an arc-shaped structure configured to create a space between the wrap-around shield and a child safety seat arranged inward from the frame. A first end of the frame is configured to curve toward a second end of the frame. The second end of the frame is also configured to curve toward the first end of the frame, and the first end and the second end having a respective profile that has a height which increases as the first end and the second end curve toward each other. A first connecting member connected to the first end of the frame, the first connecting member comprising a tether for connecting to a first latch of a rear seat.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat with a child seat may have an engagement member, comprising anchors to hold the child seat. Each anchor may have a pair of left and right side bars and a front bar coupled to the side bars. The front bars are engaged with the engagement member. The side bars are secured by brackets to a connecting pipe of the seat cushion or the seatback. Each recess may be made in a pad. A trim cover may have openings each above the recess. The engagement member may have a bifurcated shape and has a groove engaged with the front bar. The connecting members, having one end connected to a trim cover terminal behind the opening and the other end engaged with the bracket, may be wound around the connecting pipe and stretched between the bracket and the trim cover terminal, each drawing the terminal into the recess.

CENTRAL-ADJUST SOFT-BACK VEHICLE SEAT

A passenger seat is described for use with a vehicle seat and includes, a base, an attachment assembly, a restraint assembly, and a non-rigid back. The base includes a central front opening. The attachment assembly includes a plurality of straps, which are configured to adjustably secure the base to the vehicle seat. The restraint assembly includes a shoulder strap assembly, a crotch strap assembly, and an adjustment strap. The adjustment strap is in communication with the shoulder strap assembly, extending from the shoulder strap assembly through the base and out of the central front opening of the base. The adjustment strap assembly is configured to adjust the shoulder strap assembly in response to translation of the adjustment strap through the central front opening of the base. The back encompasses at least a portion of the restraint assembly and the attachment assembly.

USER-DEFINED STIMULATION PATTERNS FOR JUVENILE PRODUCTS

Systems and methods define a stimulation pattern for a juvenile product utilizing a mobile device that executes a mobile application that is linked to the juvenile product. The method comprises the step of recognizing, by the mobile device when executing the mobile app, the user-defined stimulation pattern for the juvenile product. The stimulation pattern can be a vibration pattern or a motion pattern, and can be detected in a number of different ways by the mobile device. The method further comprises the step of determining control signals for the actuator(s) of the juvenile product based on the user-defined stimulation pattern that is recognized by the mobile device. The method further comprises the step of, in response to receiving a command to execute the user-defined stimulation pattern, controlling the actuator(s) of the juvenile product based on the stored control signals for the user-defined stimulation pattern.

SUPPORT BASE FOR A CHILD SAFETY SEAT

A support base for a child safety seat includes a shell, a belt clamp and a latching mechanism. The shell is adapted to receive a child seat thereon, and has a panel at an end thereof and a belt anchoring region adjacent to the panel, the belt anchoring region including a first and a second surface, the second surface being supported by the panel and connected with the first surface.
