A system for repelling insects from an object (e.g., a beverage dispenser), the system including a mister device configured to generate a mist at the object; and a sensor operatively coupled to the mister device and configured to produce a sense signal when a user of the object is detected by the sensor, wherein the mister device is configured to stop generation of the mist based at least in part on the sense signal such that the user can use the object without being exposed to the mist, and wherein the mister device is further configured to restart generation of the mist once the user is no longer detected by the sensor. A method that includes generating a mist at an object; detecting a user of the object; and stopping the generating of the mist based at least in part on the detecting of the user.

Atomizing nozzle device, atomizing process and use

The invention relates to a new atomizing device with improved droplet formation. Smaller droplets are formed with increased micronized volume throughput, wherein high volumes of air are fed to a liquid sprayed from a liquid nozzle (2). High volume ratios result in mean free path between droplets being conveyed so as to minimize collisions and to prevent aggregation of the droplet.

ACTIVE SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZATION AND PLUGGING AVOIDANCE OF SEED/FERTILIZER IN TRANSPORT CONDUCTS

An agricultural implement has a product supply chamber, and a pair of transversely extending product delivering booms, each with a plurality of conduits of varying lengths terminating in product distributing nozzles. A fan supplies air to a mixing chamber which also receives product from the supply chamber providing an air entrained flow of product to each conduit. A controller monitors product delivery and controls implement operation. Each conduit has a pressure tap near the nozzle for providing the controller with a pressure differential indication. The controller initiates a corrective action modifying the operation of the delivery system when a predetermined pressure differential threshold is exceeded. The corrective action may include an increased air flow volume, an additional burst of higher pressure air into the conduit, a temporary increase in air flow from the air flow source, or a reduction in the rate of product flow from the supply chamber.

COMPOSITION FOR INHIBITION OF INSECT HOST SENSING

The present invention provide chemical modulators of insect olfactory receptors. In particular, compounds and compositions are provided that can inhibit host targeting functions in insects such as mosquitos. Method of employing such agents, and articles incorporating the same, are also provided.

Provided is a pest control device with which it is possible to reliably exterminate pests in a cultivation room. This invention is provided with a spraying means equipped with nozzles for spraying a chemical solution containing a pest control agent into a plant cultivation room. Liquid droplets being sprayed from the nozzles measure 100 m or smaller, and have an average particle diameter of 10-30 m. The nozzles are disposed so that the spray from the nozzles fills the entirety of the plant cultivation room interior in a uniform manner. The invention is provided with a control device for causing the nozzles to spray so that the humidity in the plant cultivation room is 90-100%.
