A vehicle seat assembly for a vehicle includes a bulkhead mountable to a vehicle body structure at a first location. The seat assembly also includes a seat bottom having a seat pan mountable to the vehicle body structure at a second location that is different than the first location. A seat back of the seat assembly includes a frame. A lower end of the frame is pivotably attached to the bulkhead at a pivot point so that the seat back is pivotable relative to the bulkhead and is supported above the seat bottom by the bulkhead when the vehicle seat assembly is mounted to the vehicle body. A recline mechanism has a driving arrangement mounted to one of the bulkhead and the frame and a driven arrangement mounted to the other of the bulkhead and the frame. The recline mechanism is operable to pivot the seat back relative to the bulkhead.

A vehicle seat having a seat cushion and ottoman pillars attached to the seat cushion, the seat cushion can be formed in a compact manner. The vehicle seat (S) comprises a cushion frame (F1) including a pair of cushion side frames (85), a cushion front member (86) connecting front ends of the cushion side frames with each other and a cushion rear member (87). A vehicle shown herein is a side by side powersports vehicle having a utility bed recessed in the rear body portion below an upper surface, the utility bed forming a stepped portion relative to the rear body portion and having a maximum lateral width greater than a diameter of at least one of the wheels, and a minimum width less than a diameter of at least one of the wheels, whereby a spare wheel may be stored on the stepped portion of the utility bed. As shown herein, the utility bed is defined as a removable tub, which can be removed from the rear body portion. The utility bed has defined troughs in a floor thereof angled rearwardly wherein the utility bed has drains which drain away from any heat source of the vehicle. The seats of the vehicle allow longitudinal movement and tilt capability.

A seating assembly comprises a lower seating assembly having a lower surface displaced above a floor pan, a mounting bracket operably coupling a forward edge of the lower seating assembly to the floor pan, and a storage bin comprising a horizontally disposed frame member disposed between the lower surface and the floor pan, wherein the storage bin, the floor pan, and the lower surface define an enclosure below the lower seating assembly.

A vehicle seating assembly latch is provided herein. The vehicle seating assembly latch includes an elongated member fixedly attached to a rear portion of a vehicle seatback. A bracket is disposed on a rear wall of a passenger compartment and includes a striker. The elongated member includes an integrally defined hook portion that retains the elongated member on the striker in an engaged condition.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a seat belt retainer for a vehicle, the retainer comprising a body having an opening, the body being configured for attachment to a support. An actuator is mounted within the opening, the actuator being moveable within the opening for actuating a seat latch mechanism. A guide is supported by the body, the guide defining an at least partial aperture for receiving a seat belt therethrough. The actuator and the guide are at least partly aligned along the longitudinal axis of the seat belt passing through the aperture, in use.

A vehicle seat comprising a base, intended to be connected to the floor of the vehicle, a seating portion frame, hinged to the base so as to pivot about a transverse axis of the seat, a backrest hinged to the base so as to pivot about the transverse axis of the seat, hinge means connecting the seating portion frame to the backrest, configured so that the pivoting of the backrest relative to the base about the transverse axis causes the pivoting of the seating portion frame relative to the base about the transverse axis. The hinge means are also configured so as to connect the seating portion frame to the floor in order to move the front edge of the seating portion frame closer to or further away from the floor, the rear edge remaining fixed relative to the base.

A vehicle including a passenger compartment and a cargo area extending from the passenger compartment. The cargo area includes a cargo bed having a support surface. A mid-gate includes a first surface exposed to the passenger compartment and a second surface exposed to the cargo area. The mid-gate is pivotally connected relative to the cargo bed between a first position wherein the mid-gate separates the cargo area from the passenger compartment and a second position wherein the second surface forms part of the support surface.
