STOWABLE REVERSIBLE SEAT
A stowable reversible seat for a vehicle includes a first member pivotally coupled to a floor for supporting a seat base, a second member releasably secured to the floor for supporting the seat base, and a seat back pivotally coupled to the first member. Components of the seat pivot between a folded configuration for stowing and a deployed configuration for seating. The orientation of the seat may be reversed for switching between a forward-facing direction and an aft-facing direction. A method of configuring a seat into an aircraft includes adapting a cabinet area to receive and conceal the seat, configuring a rail to make the seat slidable out from the cabinet area into an aisle, attaching a pivotable seat base on the seat, and pivotally mounting a supporting leg underneath a portion of the seat to secure the pivotable seat base in a substantially horizontal position.
Bearing arrangement for a rear seat arrangement of a vehicle, and method for assembling the bearing arrangement
A bearing arrangement (4), for a rear seat arrangement of a vehicle, includes a bearing pin (5.2) which forms a rotational axis and a rotary bearing (5.3) which can be pushed onto the bearing pin (5.2). The bearing pin (5.2) and the rotary bearing (5.3) each have a mutually corresponding structure which secures the bearing pin (5.2) and the rotary bearing (5.3) against axial and radial movements relative to each other in a use position. The bearing pin (5.2) can be guided through openings (01, 02) of the rotary bearing (5.3) during assembly. The use position, which is secured against axial and radial movements, can be subsequently adjusted by pivoting the bearing pin (5.2) and/or the rotary bearing (5.3). A method for assembling the bearing arrangement (4) is also provided.
Vehicular seat
A vehicle seat having a seat back and seat cushion connected to the seat back, the seat back and seat cushion being retractable to a retraction floor disposed lower than a vehicle body floor, is described. The vehicle seat includes: a support base connected to the vehicle body floor, disposed below the seat cushion, and pivotally connected to a lower end of the seat back; a detachable leg having an upper end attached to the seat cushion and lower end connectable to the support base; a leg retaining member attached to the support base to detachably retain the lower end of the detachable leg; and a base cover that covers the support base. The leg retaining member is disposed at a rear side of a front end of a portion of the base cover in a front to back direction of the seat to cover the support base from above.
REAR ROW SEAT LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH POWER AND MANUAL DRIVEN VARIANTS
The present invention discloses a seatback latch assembly integrated into an interface between a seatback pivotally supported to a seat bottom. The assembly includes a pair of floor supported stanchions defining a package receiving space therebetween. A seatback sector forms a portion of the seatback and is pivotally secured between the stanchions within the package space for rotation between upright design and forward folded positions. A cam is pivotally supported within the package space between the stanchions and so that an abutment edge of the cam engages a shoulder location of the seatback sector in the upright design position. The cam is influenced to a disengaged position, resulting in rotation of the seatback to the folded position.
Torsion assist system for a folding seat back in a vehicle
A seat back system for a vehicle includes a fixed seat support member fixed relative to the vehicle, a seat back frame pivotally mounted relative to the fixed seat support member, and a torsion spring element mounted to the seat back frame. The torsion spring element includes a first end fixed relative to the fixed seat support member and a second end fixed relative to the seat back frame.
Seat for vehicle
A seat for a vehicle is proposed. The seat for a vehicle is configured to perform sliding of a seat cushion in conjunction with reclining of a seatback without a separate driver part or recliner, and to realize tipping-up of the seat cushion with the seat cushion and the seatback removably provided, and to be easily mounted and assembled to a vehicle to secure the inside space utilization of the vehicle and achieve cost reduction.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat having a seat cushion and ottoman pillars attached to the seat cushion, the seat cushion can be formed in a compact manner. The vehicle seat (S) comprises a cushion frame (F1) including a pair of cushion side frames (85), a cushion front member (86) connecting front ends of the cushion side frames with each other and a cushion rear member (87). The cushion front member is provided with a pair of recesses (143) extending in a fore and aft direction, and a pair of pillar support portions (141) extending in the fore and aft direction are received in and bonded to the respective recesses, the ottoman including a pair of ottoman pillars (135) inserted into the respective pillar support portions.
Vehicle seat
Vehicle seat including: a seat back pivoted to a side of the floor, a seat cushion pivoted to the seat back; and a front leg element having an upper end pivoted to the seat cushion and a lower end pivotally locked to the side of floor in a releasable manner, thus normally providing a four-pivotal-point linkage in the seat. Maintaining the four-pivotal-point linkage adversely restricts design and actions of the seat. Inequality conditions are therefore set in that four-pivotal-point linkage, such that folding down the seat back by an angle exceeding a predetermined angle results in unlocking of the lower end of the front leg element from the side of floor, thereby destroying the four-pivotal-point linkage. Hence, a freedom of design is increased for the seat and floor. Further, leverage mechanism(s) may be provided to facilitate the ease of unlocking the front leg element from the side of floor.
Seat system for a vehicle
A seat system (1) for a vehicle, includes a plurality of seats (2.1 to 2.3) which are disposed next to one another and at least two of which are pivotable about a common pivot axis (S). At least one of the seats (2.2) that are pivotable about the common pivot axis (S) is designed in such a way that when the seat is unlocked and the backrest thereof is pivoted by more than a predefined angle of inclination, the adjacent other seat (2.1) is blocked in the unlocked state or at least the folding movement of the backrest thereof is dampened or prevented.
