Various vehicle seat improvements are enabled herein. For instance, a kinematic seat for a vehicle comprises a seat base connected to the vehicle. A first side member is affixed to a base at a first side of the base. A second side member is affixed to the base at a second side of the base, opposite the first side of the base. A slider is slidably received in the base. A seat back assembly is rotatably coupled to the first side member and rotatably coupled to the second side member. A linkage is rotatably coupled to the seat back assembly and rotatably coupled to the slider, whereby sliding of the slider rotates the seat back assembly. A first lower seat lifting mechanism comprises a lifting bracket, wherein the lifting bracket is rotatably coupled to the first side member at a first end of the lifting bracket, and wherein the lifting bracket is slidably received in a channel of the first side member at a second end of the lifting bracket. A second lower seat lifting mechanism comprises a bracket rotatably coupled to the base and a link arm rotatably coupled to the bracket and rotatably coupled to the slider.

Vehicle seat foldable into a console position and into forward folded position

A vehicle seat comprising a base, a seating portion connected to the base by a front connecting rod, a backrest support lockable on the base, a backrest pivotally mounted on the backrest support by a hinge mechanism and connected to the seating portion by a pivot. The backrest support is connected to the base by two rear connecting rods configured so that the backrest is folded horizontally in a console position when the front connecting rod pivots forward after unlocking the backrest support while the hinge mechanism is not actuated.

Occupant support with foldable headrest

An occupant support includes a seat bottom, a seat back, and a cam. The seat bottom includes a side frame member. The seat back includes a headrest configured to fold about a headrest fold axis. The side frame member is rotatably coupled to the seat back and configured to rotate relative to the seat back about a side frame rotation axis. The cam is coupled to the side frame member and coupled to the headrest such that rotation of the cam causes the headrest to rotate about the headrest fold axis. Rotation of the cam about the side frame rotation axis relative to the seat back causes the cam to pull a connecting member which causes the headrest to rotate about the headrest fold axis to a folded position. The rotation of the headrest about the headrest fold axis occurs during the occupant support folding movement.

VEHICLE

A vehicle shown herein is a side by side powersports vehicle having a utility bed recessed in the rear body portion below an upper surface, the utility bed forming a stepped portion relative to the rear body portion and having a maximum lateral width greater than a diameter of at least one of the wheels, and a minimum width less than a diameter of at least one of the wheels, whereby a spare wheel may be stored on the stepped portion of the utility bed. As shown herein, the utility bed is defined as a removable tub, which can be removed from the rear body portion. The utility bed has defined troughs in a floor thereof angled rearwardly wherein the utility bed has drains which drain away from any heat source of the vehicle. The seats of the vehicle allow longitudinal movement and tilt capability.

SEAT ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS FOR MOBILITY

A seat adjustment apparatus for mobility includes a seat cushion, wherein, during seat cushion tilting, the front portion of the seat cushion is moved upwards, and the rear portion thereof is moved downwards so that the occupant's lower body is not moved upwards as a whole, and the occupant's feet are not excessively lifted. Accordingly, there is no need for a separate footrest for supporting the occupant's feet, and seating convenience is improved by implementing a stable occupant posture. Furthermore, a tilting bar provided for seat cushion tilting supports a seat frame so that the posture of the occupant's lower body does not collapse due to deformation of the seat cushion during a collision, securing the occupant's stability.
