Described are passenger seats with a seat pan (12) releasably coupled to a seat frame (14) via at least one coupling device (20), which includes a ramp (22) mounted on a lower surface (36) of the seat pan (12) and a latch (42) pivotally coupled to an open end of the ramp (22). The latch (42) includes a flap configured to substantially cover the open end of the ramp (22) when the latch (42) is in a closed position, and a handle (48) that is accessible from an upper surface of the seat pan (12) via an aperture (50) in the seat pan (12). The coupling device also includes a spring (44) configured to position the latch (42) in the closed position until a force is applied to the handle (48) to rotate the latch (42) to an open position.

A cushion stop assembly is disposed on the structural member and disposed proximate the rearward edge of the structural member. The cushion stop assembly has a catch and an actuator. An inertia hook is pivotally mounted to the seat frame comprising a hook member and a hook stop, the inertia hook further having a first hook position when the actuator acts upon the hook stop to rotate the hook member into vertical alignment with the catch and a second hook position when the actuator is lifted away from the hook stop and the hook member rotates out of vertical alignment with the catch.

A vehicle seat includes a conjunction mechanism and a locking mechanism. When a seat cushion is placed at a raised position, the conjunction mechanism causes an ottoman to be placed at a stored position closer to the seating surface relative to a standby position. The locking mechanism restricts movement of the ottoman when the seat cushion is placed at a seating position. The locking mechanism includes an anchoring portion, a traction cable, and a wound portion. In response to a change being made in an amount of winding of the traction cable around the wound portion due to the seat cushion being moved, anchoring of the ottoman by the anchoring portion and canceling of the anchoring are caused.

For instance, the one or more passenger seats can include a passenger seat defining a seating orientation. The passenger seat can include a seatback rotatable about a pivot point on a base of the passenger seat to switch between the first configuration and the second configuration. Alternatively, or additionally, the autonomous vehicle can include a door assembly pivotably fixed to a vehicle body of the autonomous vehicle such that a swept path of the door assembly when moving between an open position and a closed position is reduced.

A seat frame cover covers the left or right end of the seat frame. A plurality of rib sections are formed as frame ribs and can be segmented between a vertical fixed portion and a horizontal folding portion. The frame ribs include a first frame rib, a second frame rib, and third frame rib. The frame ribs are formed with a seat nose. The seat nose is supported at a seat nose frame bracket for stability of the frame rib and seat nose. A rear cross bar is placed below a top crossbar. The rear crossbar and the top crossbar are connected to the frame ribs.
