Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion, a pair of left and right side frames, a webbing including a lap webbing portion, and a buckle. The vehicle seat also includes a first link bracket that is connected to the webbing, and a second link bracket that is connected to the buckle and that is tilted toward one side together with the first link bracket by pulling on the lap webbing portion. The vehicle seat also includes a restriction bar that links the first link bracket and the second link bracket together in a seat width direction, that is moved toward a seat upper side by tilting of the first link bracket and the second link bracket toward the one side, and that restricts movement of an occupant seated on the seat cushion toward a seat front side.
CONVEYANCE SEAT
Provided is a conveyance seat capable of appropriately controlling the behavior of the pelvis (lumbar) of a seated occupant when an impact occurs, and thereby suppressing the generation of a compressive load on the spine of the seated occupant. This conveyance seat is provided with a seat cushion. The seat cushion has: a seat cushion frame; a cushion pad placed on the seat cushion frame; and a high-hardness portion provided below the cushion pad and higher in hardness than the material of the cushion pad. The high-hardness portion is disposed such that at least a part of the high-hardness portion overlaps a sinking suppression member in the vertical direction of the conveyance seat. The sinking suppression member is provided in the seat cushion frame or a vehicle body so that sinking of a seated occupant is suppressed. The sinking suppression member is disposed below the high-hardness portion.
Vehicle seat
A 3-point seatbelt device includes webbing for restraining an occupant, with one end of the webbing disposed on one seat width direction side of a rear portion of a seat cushion frame, and includes a buckle to engage with a tongue plate. The rod shaped submarining restriction member spans across a front portion of the seat cushion frame in the seat width direction, is actuated by a first load imparted to the webbing from a seated occupant in a frontal collision of the vehicle, and moves toward a vehicle upper side from a pre-actuation normal position toward a post-actuation restricting position. The pair of load transmission members are respectively coupled to the submarining restriction member and either the one end of the webbing or the buckle in a seat front-rear direction.
Seat cushion airbag apparatus
A seat cushion airbag apparatus is applied to a vehicle seat in which a seat cushion includes a cushion part and a support portion. An airbag, including an inflatable portion, is disposed between the support portion and the cushion part. The inflatable portion includes: a rear inflatable portion that inflates on a lower side of buttocks of an occupant; a front inflatable portion that inflates on a lower side of a femur of the occupant; and a connection portion that connects the rear inflatable portion and the front inflatable portion. A tilting plate is disposed between the support portion and the cushion part and is supported to be tiltable in an upper-lower direction by a shaft provided rearward of the front inflatable portion, the tilting plate including a flat pressure receiving portion that receives pressure of inflation gas from a lower side through at least the front inflatable portion.
VEHICLE SEAT ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT SEAT PAN HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
A vehicle seat assembly and a method of controlling a vehicle seat assembly are provided. The vehicle seat assembly has a frame, and a seat pan extending from a forward region to a rearward region, with the rearward region of the seat pan rotatably connected to the frame. A torque tube is supported for rotation by the frame and extends transversely across the seat pan. At least one cam is supported by the torque tube for rotation therewith, and the at least one cam extends outwardly from the torque tube to an associated cam surface. The cam surface supports the forward region of the seat pan and is shaped such that the forward region of the seat pan is raised relative to the rearward region in response to rotation of the torque tube.
VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY WITH DISPLACEABLE PLATFORM
A vehicle seating assembly having a seat cushion and a suspension system disposed proximate an underside of the seat cushion. The suspension system includes a carrier assembly, a displaceable platform, and an attachment member extending between the carrier assembly and the displaceable platform, wherein the attachment member is positionable between the rest position and an extended positon. The displaceable platform is positionable between a design position and a fully deployed position.
Dynamically tilted seat pan
An apparatus for dynamically tilting a seatpan in an aircraft passenger seating assembly includes a seat frame, seatback, seat cushion, and cushion support structure (e.g., a seatpan), the seat cushion and seatpan together having a forward end and a rear end and together supporting a passenger occupying the seating assembly. Accelerometers may detect an inertial event such as a rapid deceleration that may cause the passenger to pitch forward; dynamic seatpan actuators (e.g., airbags or ballistic devices) connected to the accelerometers react to the inertial event by detonating, driving the seatpan and seat cushion upward. As a result, the head path of the passenger may be redirected upward, alleviating the risk of passenger injury and component damage. Additional airbags may react to the inertial event by tightening the passenger seatbelt.
CUSHION SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY
A vehicle seating assembly having a housing assembly coupled to a seat frame with a transverse member. A cushion pan extends between the transverse member and a cross bar. A cushion nose extends between the transverse member and a front portion of the housing assembly. A gas-generating device is deployable in response to a sudden vehicle deceleration to exert a force on the cushion nose to rotate the cushion nose about an axis defined by a transverse member from a first position to a second position.
VEHICLE SEATING ASSEMBLY WITH DISPLACEABLE PLATFORM
A vehicle seating assembly having a seat cushion and a suspension system disposed proximate an underside of the seat cushion. The suspension system includes a carrier assembly, a displaceable platform, and an attachment member extending between the carrier assembly and the displaceable platform, wherein the attachment member is positionable between the rest position and an extended position. The displaceable platform is positionable between a design position and a fully deployed position.
VEHICLE SEAT
An assembly includes a seat bottom including a panel pivotable from a first position to a second position. The assembly includes a track supported by the seat bottom. The assembly includes a spring in the track and urging the panel toward the second position. The assembly includes a pyrotechnic actuator maintaining the spring in compression and actuatable to release the spring.
