An actuator may include a shaft with a first end and a second end. The shaft may include a disengagement portion near the first end and an engagement portion near the second end. The actuator may also include a motor coupled to the first end of the shaft and configured to rotate the shaft about a longitudinal axis of the shaft. A housing may be coupled to the shaft and may be configured to move toward the disengagement portion during rotation of the shaft in a first direction. The housing may have a coupled position, in which the housing is engaged with the engagement portion of the shaft, and an uncoupled position, in which the housing is disengaged from the engagement portion of the shaft and is located adjacent to the disengagement portion of the shaft.

ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR A HEADREST OF A VEHICLE SEAT

An adjusting apparatus for adjusting a vehicle seat component of a vehicle seat comprises an adjustment arrangement for adjusting the vehicle seat component and a locking device. The locking device is coupled to the adjustment arrangement to block movement of the vehicle seat component in a locking position.

HEADREST GUIDE

A headrest guide includes: a tubular portion that extends in a first direction and into which a stay is inserted; a tongue piece protruding partially to the inside of the tubular portion, the tongue piece being configured to bend in a radial direction of the tubular portion and being configured to be brought into contact with the stay; and a plate spring pressing the tongue piece inwardly in the radial direction of the tubular portion. Protruding portions are disposed on opposite sides of the tubular portion, respectively, with the tongue piece interposed therebetween to hold the plate spring at opposite end sides thereof.

Linear motion assembly

A linear motion assembly including a component having a longitudinal axis and adapted to translate along the longitudinal axis, and a bearing comprising a spiral body including a substrate and a low friction material, wherein the bearing extends around the component and provides a low friction interface for translation of the component, and wherein the bearing is adapted to prevent longitudinal translation of the component in a locked condition and permit longitudinal translation of the component in an unlocked condition. In an embodiment, the bearing is adapted to transition between the locked and unlocked conditions upon circumferential translation of an axial end of the spiral body, longitudinal translation of an axial end of the spiral body, or a combination thereof.

Headrest supporting structure

A headrest supporting structure is provided with a lower spring and an upper spring, which are located at different positions in the vertical direction of a seat. The structure elastically supports a headrest stay with the springs. When a stopper section, which changes the position in the front-back direction in accordance with pivoting of the headrest, comes into contact with a support bracket, further pivoting of the headrest is restricted. The stiffness of the upper spring located relatively distant from the stopper section in the seat vertical direction is higher than that of the lower spring located closer to the stopper section.

A headrest assembly having a bracket mount affixed to an upper portion of a seatback frame and at least one headrest bun supporting tube pivotally secured to the bracket mount. A spring biased cam is pivotally secured to the bracket mount and, in a normally biased position, engages an underside projection of a selected one of the supporting tubes, the cam also having an outwardly projecting pin. At least one wheel shaped component is rotatably mounted to an exterior of the bracket mount in proximity to the cam, the wheel having an outer circumferential location which, upon being rotated, contacts the projecting pin causing the cam to pivot in a downward unseating direction from the supporting tube, triggering release of the headrest and supporting tubes in a forwardly rotating and dump position.
