Leveling apparatus for a vehicle headlamp having a tilting sensor and a light source module that tilt together
A leveling apparatus for a vehicle headlamp includes: a housing disposed at a front side of a vehicle; a light source module disposed in the housing to emit light; a tilting sensor disposed in the housing to detect an inclination degree of a road; a tilting means to tilt the light source module and the tilting sensor together; and a controller. The controller receives a signal detected by the tilting sensor and controls the tilting means based on the inclination degree of the road to adjust a light emission angle of the light source module. In addition, the tilting sensor operates until a sensed output of the tilting sensor reaches a normal range.

Angle-adjusting vehicular headlights
The angle-adjusting vehicular headlights comprise a housing, a swivel bracket, a distance checker, a tilt mechanism, a controller, and a headlight socket. The angle-adjusting vehicular headlights may change an elevation angle of a headlight responsive to a determination by the controller that an inclination angle of a vehicle has changed. As non-limiting examples, the inclination angle may have changed due to a cargo load that has been placed into the vehicle thus compressing the vehicle suspension or the inclination angle may have changed due to the cargo load being removed from the vehicle and the resulting decompression of the vehicle suspension. angle-adjusting vehicular headlights may generally be deployed in pairs.

LIGHTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
A vehicle lighting device includes at least one headlight, a position and/or acceleration sensor, and a control unit for adjusting a light/dark boundary of the headlight. Pitch movements of the vehicle can be detected by the position and/or acceleration sensor, and a change in the light/dark boundary due to the respective pitch movement can be compensated for by the control unit. The position and/or acceleration sensor and the control unit are arranged in the headlight or directly on the headlight.

Illumination Device for Vehicle Headlamp
An illumination device for a vehicle headlamp that provides headlamp levelling. The illumination device includes a primary light module configured to emit light in a main direction, wherein the primary light module is rotatable around a rotation axis; a moveable shield cover for shielding the primary light module; and a motion device for moving simultaneously the primary light module around the rotation axis and the shield cover with respect to each other between (a) non-illuminating positions, wherein the shield cover is in front of the primary light module, and (b) illuminating positions, wherein the shield cover is moved away from the light path of the light module. In each illuminating position, the primary light module is in a defined angular position of a determined operating angular range around the rotation axis to project the light distribution in different angular positions in front of the illumination device for headlamp levelling.
Vehicles with automatic headlight alignment
A vehicle may have lights such as headlights. The lights may be moved using a positioner. Control circuitry in the vehicle may use sensor circuitry to monitor the environment surrounding the vehicle. The sensor circuitry may include one or more sensors such as a lidar sensor, radar sensor, image sensor, and/or other sensors to measure the shape of a surface in front of the vehicle and the location of the surface relative to the vehicle. These sensors and/or other sensors in the sensor circuitry also measure headlight illumination on the surface. Based on the known shape of the surface in front of the vehicle and the distance of the surface from the vehicle, the control circuitry can predict where a headlight should be aimed on the surface. By comparing predictions of headlight illumination on the surface to measurements of headlight illumination on the surface, the vehicle can determine how to move the headlight with the positioner to align the headlight.

Motor vehicle headlamp with a light module and an adjustment device for adjusting the main beam direction of the light module
The invention relates to a motor vehicle headlamp that has a housing and a light module that is connected to the housing by an adjustment device for adjusting the main beam direction thereof. The adjustment device has a threaded adjustment assembly and a pivot lever, which is supported in the housing such that it can pivot about a stationary pivot point in relation to the housing. The pivot lever has a movement input coupling section at a distance to the pivot point, with which it is coupled in a flexible manner to the adjustment assembly. The pivot lever is connected to the light module at a movement output coupling section that is at a distance to the pivot point and the movement input coupling section.
