Horn system
The present invention provides a horn system (1) for a vehicle, comprising an airbag module (7) and a cover (3) for receiving and covering the airbag module (7), wherein the cover (3) is moveable relative to the airbag module (7), and a horn circuit (17) for producing a warning signal in response to moving the cover (3) relative to the airbag module (7). The horn system according to the present invention is characterised in that it comprises at least one conductive element (21, 22) attached to a housing (8) of the airbag module (7) and displaceable between an assembling position and a holding position, wherein the conductive element (21, 22) is configured to interact with the cover (3) in the holding position.
Apparatus for fastening a gas generator in an oscillatory manner as a vibration damping mass inside an airbag module
The invention relates to an apparatus (10) for fastening a gas generator (11) in an oscillatory manner as a vibration damping mass inside an airbag module. A fastening ring (12) provided for fastening the gas generator (11) has at least one elastic section (14) and at least one reinforcement insert (15) for reinforcing the fastening ring (12) and securing the fastening ring (12) to the gas generator. A surface of the reinforcement insert (15) is made at least in part of plastic.

The invention relates to a vehicle steering wheel (10) having a steering wheel axis (A) about which the vehicle steering wheel (10) can be rotated in the installed state, a steering wheel carcass (12) which has a hub section (14) in the region of the steering wheel axis (A), and a separate latching peg (18) for latching with an airbag module (20), which extends in the axial direction (22) and can be mounted on the steering wheel carcass (12), wherein the hub section (14) of the steering wheel carcass (12) has a rigid carcass hook (24) for latching with the airbag module (20), which extends in the axial direction (22), wherein the latching peg (18) adjoins the carcass hook (24) and partially surrounds same in the circumferential direction. The invention also relates to a steering wheel assembly having a vehicle steering wheel (10) of this kind.
Steering wheel
Provided are a horn switch and steering wheel capable of reducing a space for the horn switch. A horn switch 4 includes: a guide pin 41 provided with a first end part 411 axially slidably connected to a first opening 211 of a core metal 2, and a second end part 412 disposed to be locked to a second opening 322 of an airbag module 3; a stopper 42 provided with a flange part 421 fixed to the shaft part of the guide pin 41; a damper 43 disposed in a space between the second end part 412 and the flange part 421 and locked to the inner edge of the second opening 322; a horn spring 45 disposed between the flange part 421 and the core metal 2; a fixed-side contact 46 disposed in the core metal 2; and a movable-side contact 47 disposed in the airbag module 3.

An airbag cover structure for a steering wheel. The airbag cover structure with a lighting emblem includes: a mounting plate with an airbag cushion; an inner cover including an inner locking portion, a storage portion, and an inner hinge portion; an outer cover including an outer locking portion, an indicating portion, and an outer hinge portion; and an absorption area provided on the inner hinge portion of the inner cover, and configured to concentrate and absorb stress generated by a force that unfolds a bent portion of the outer hinge portion during deployment of the airbag cushion.
Airbag device with horn switch body
An airbag device with a horn switch body, configured so as to be installed in an upper surface side in a boss portion near a center of a steering wheel, includes: an airbag which inflates by receiving inflation gas; an inflator for supplying inflation gas to the airbag; a pad covering the folded airbag; a mounting base made of sheet metal which holds the airbag, the inflator, and the pad; a horn switch body having an assembling pin to be assembled to a main body side of the steering wheel; and a support plate made of a sheet metal which supports the horn switch body as a configuration attached to a lower surface side of the mounting base. A case around the assembling pin, the mounting base, or the support plate is provided with a spacer capable of preventing rattling of the switch disposition portion in the case.

A frequency-tuned vibration damper device and assembly which may be used in steering wheels for motor vehicles is provided. Elastomeric stiffening bridges or connectors, integrally formed in elastomeric damper bodies, are used to obtain different damping frequencies in different spatial directions (y, z). Stiffening in specific direction(s) (y) allows larger frequency differences to be achieved. Asymmetric elastomeric damper bodies are arranged to operate with a combination of compression-mode damping and shear-mode damping along a first axis (y), and dominantly with a shear-mode damping along a different, second direction (z).

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle steering wheel, including: a steering wheel body with a hub region for attachment to a steering shaft, with a steering wheel rim and with at least one spoke for attaching the steering wheel rim to the hub region; an airbag initiation device; wherein an electromechanical triggering device has at least one force transducer, which is disposed between a projection and the steering wheel body and via which the impact absorber cover is supported on the steering wheel body, for measuring a force value that can be associated with an actuating force acting on the actuating surface of the impact absorber cover; wherein the electromechanical triggering device has at least one electronic evaluation unit connected in an electrically conductive manner to the force transducer to determine an actuating force value by a force value measured by the at least one force transducer.
Airbag apparatus attachment mechanism
An airbag apparatus attachment mechanism includes a holder, a supporting member, an urging member, and a functional member. The holder is fastened to a metal core with a fastening member. The supporting member protrudes further forward than an airbag apparatus and is inserted into the holder. The urging member urges the airbag apparatus rearward. The functional member is attached to a part of the supporting member that is inserted in the holder. The functional member includes a spring portion that is thinner than a gap between the supporting member and the holder. The spring portion is disposed in the gap. The functional member is configured such that the spring portion is elastically deformed in a radial direction of the supporting member due to vibration of the airbag apparatus, thereby suppressing the vibration.
Steering wheel assembly
The invention relates to a steering wheel assembly (10) comprising a steering wheel skeleton (12), an attachment component (14), a connection component (20) for fastening the attachment component (14) to the steering wheel skeleton (12), and a first resilient damping element (16) which couples the connection component (20) to the attachment component (14) so as to be able to oscillate, a second resilient damping element (18) being provided which couples the connection component (20) to the steering wheel assembly (12) so as to be able to oscillate.
