Side air bag device
A side airbag device for restraining an occupant at an early stage by changing a thickness of a chamber includes a cushion formed in a bag shape by combining an outer panel located at an outer side in a vehicle width direction and an inner panel located at an inner side in the vehicle width direction. A baffle spans between the outer panel and the inner panel in an inside of the cushion and partitions the inside of the cushion into a front chamber located at a vehicle front side and a rear chamber located at a vehicle rear side. An inflator is disposed in the rear chamber, and a first tether and a second tether extend from the baffle toward a vehicle rear. The tethers respectively extend from the baffle via both sides of the inflator in the vehicle width direction so as to be connected with a rear end of the cushion.
Automotive airbag systems with a securement wrapper and a packaging wrapper
An inflatable airbag system is disclosed, the inflatable airbag system configured with a securement wrapper and a packaging wrapper, the securement wrapper retaining an inflatable airbag cushion of the inflatable airbag system in a packaging state during assembly of the packaging wrapper to the inflatable airbag system. The securement wrapper prevents or reduces the incidence of excursion of the inflatable airbag cushion from the appropriate packaging state during assembly.
AIRBAG DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT
The present invention is an airbag device installed in a vehicle seat having a seat cushion forming the seat surface and a seatback forming the backrest, a pair of inflators stowed in the left and right side portions of said seatback and generating expansion gas, and an airbag stowed in said seatback in a rolled or folded state and deployed by the expansion gas released from said inflators. The airbag is configured to include a pair of left and right side chambers that deploy from the side of the seatback toward the front and restrain movement of at least the waist to the shoulders of an occupant, and a connection part that connects the pair of side chambers and is positioned above the head of the occupant when the airbag is deployed.
Airbag apparatus
To effectively retain a deployed airbag without increasing installation man hours, in addition to suppressing rotation of this airbag in a direction away from a seat. For example, a side airbag apparatus 1 installed inside a backrest SB of the seat S includes: an airbag 2; an inflator 3 provided inside the airbag 2; a tether 4; and a bracket 5. The airbag 2 is deployed in a first direction in which a base end side 2a thereof is attached to a seat back frame SBF and the tip side thereof is distant from the backrest SB. The tether 4 includes: one end 4a attached to the seat back frame SBF; and the other end which extends in the first direction on the outer surface of the airbag 2 in the deployed state so as to be attached to the part on the tip side 2b of the airbag 2. A bracket 5 is attached to the seat back frame SBF and provided in the direction in which the tether 4 extends. The tether 4 is supported by the front end of the bracket 5.
Vehicle seat
In a vehicle seat, a back pad outer skin covering a surface of a back pad includes a first portion covering a surface of one part, including a side face, of a bolster pad part, and second portions covering a surface of another part that is different from the one part of the bolster pad part. A bound part is formed by binding to each other mutually adjacent end parts of the first portion and the second portions and extremity parts of expansive force transmission webbings having base portions fixed to a frame, the bound part being capable of breaking when an airbag is made to expand. A non-stretchable cloth member is disposed on a reverse side of specific outer skin portions, covering a front face of the bolster pad part, of the second portions.
Vehicular seat cushion airbag
A vehicular seat cushion airbag is disclosed. The seat cushion airbag includes a first cushion, which is mounted on a seat cushion of a vehicle so as to be expanded at the rear portion of a passenger's thigh, and a second cushion, which extends from the first cushion in an upward direction of a bolster portion of the seat cushion so as to be expanded toward the lateral side surface of the passenger's thigh, wherein the first cushion is expanded at the rear portion of the passenger's thigh so as to prevent forward movement of the passenger's pelvis, and the second cushion is expanded toward the lateral side surface of the passenger's thigh so as to prevent outward spreading of the passenger's legs.
Vehicle center airbag
A vehicle center airbag may include a main cushion and a plurality of sub-cushions. The main cushion is mounted on a lateral surface of a seat back and is deployed in a forward direction, being positioned beside a passenger when a side collision occurs. The sub-cushions are configured to communicate with the main cushion and are deployed upwards from the top portion of the main cushion. When the sub-cushions are deployed, they extend in a forward-backward direction of the vehicle and are positioned above the torso of the passenger.
AIRBAG DEVICE
[Problem]
Provided is an airbag device capable of improving the restraining performance of an occupant by an airbag at the time of a collision.
[Resolution Means]
The airbag device includes a first airbag cushion part and a second airbag cushion part installed on each side of a seat of a vehicle, a first active vent provided in the first airbag cushion part and a second active vent provided in the second airbag cushion part, and a controller that controls the first active vent or the second active vent to open and the other to close when the first airbag cushion part and the second airbag cushion part are expanded and deployed.
SIDE AIRBAG AND SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
A side airbag that is to be inflated and deployed to a side of an occupant, includes: an upper chamber provided at an upper portion; a lower chamber provided at a lower portion; a middle chamber between the upper chamber and the lower chamber; a first partition panel that partitions the upper chamber from the middle chamber; a second partition panel that partitions the lower chamber from the middle chamber; a third partition panel that partitions the middle chamber from an inflator installation chamber; a first opening that is provided in the first partition panel and through which the upper and middle chambers communicate with each other; and a second opening that is provided in the second partition panel and through which the lower and middle chambers communicate with each other, and each of the first and second partition panels is joined to the third partition panel.
Seat airbag apparatus for vehicle
A seat airbag apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. A side cushion is deployed so as to protrude forward from a seatback in order to protect the lateral sides of an occupant, and a front cushion is deployed so as to protrude from the side cushion to the front of the occupant in order to protect the front side of the occupant. The deployment of the side cushion and the front cushion is limited by an upper dual-surface tether structure, formed by an upper-side surface tether and an upper-front surface tether, and a lower dual-surface tether structure, formed by a lower-side surface tether and a lower-front surface tether, thereby increasing force with which movement of the occupant is restricted, thus further enhancing an occupant protection effect.
