AIRBAG WITH INFLATOR ATTACHMENT
An apparatus for helping to protect an occupant of a vehicle seat includes an airbag defining an inflatable volume for receiving inflation fluid from an inflator having first and second ends. The airbag has a first sleeve configured to receive the first end of the inflator and a second end configured to receive the second end of the inflator. The first and second sleeves extend from the airbag.
Airbag and method of manufacture
A method of manufacturing an airbag includes fixing a first reinforcement panel to a first main panel at a first edge of the first main panel. The method includes fixing a second reinforcement panel to a second main panel at a second edge of the second main panel. The method includes overlaying the first main panel on the second main panel with the first reinforcement panel aligned with the second reinforcement panel and the first edge aligned with the second edge. The method includes fixing the first main panel to the second main panel along the first edge and the second edge. The method includes creating a vent by cutting both the first reinforcement panel and the second reinforcement panel along a cut line to form the vent.
SEAT AIRBAG DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A seat airbag device for a vehicle is proposed. The seat airbag device includes an airbag cushion including a side chamber deployed forward from a seatback of the vehicle and located at a lateral surface of a passenger and a front chamber deployed from an upper portion of the seatback and arranged to be extended forward of the passenger and to wrap the upper side and front side of the passenger, and a support tether extended from the seatback and connected to the airbag cushion so as to support the airbag cushion.
SIDE AIRBAG PACKAGED IN SIDE OF SEAT
An apparatus, system, and method for helping to protect occupants of a vehicle seat in the event of a collision. The vehicle seat includes a base with a bottom cushion, a backrest with a back cushion, and a side rest having a side cushion that extends upward from the bottom cushion and forward from the back cushion. The apparatus comprises a deployable restraint stored in a pre-deployment condition in the side rest. The deployable restraint comprising an airbag and an inflator for inflating and deploying the airbag. When inflated to a deployed condition the restrain cushions the occupant against impacts with the side rest.
Side airbag module and vehicle seat
A side airbag module for being attached to a seat frame (40) is described. Said airbag module has an inflator and at least one mounting stud (14) extending from said inflator. An airbag defining a gas space and being in fluid communication to said inflator is provided and is at least partially rolled and/or folded to an airbag package (20). The airbag package (20) is held by a wrapper (23) encircling at least a part of the airbag package (20). In order to simplify the mounting process of upholstery, at least one additional flexible flap (30) extends from the wrapper (23) and said additional flexible flap (30) has or carries at least one connection means for connecting the flexible flap to the frame (40) of a vehicle seat.
Vehicle control system
This vehicle control system comprises: a driving control section 1 that performs switching between autonomous driving and manual driving of a vehicle V; a seat 10 that can be changed to forms which are different during autonomous driving and during manual driving; and a seat control unit 2 that controls the operation of the seat 10 when changing the forms. If the seat 10 is in the form adopted during autonomous driving, the driving control unit 1 can perform control so that the switching from autonomous driving to manual driving of the vehicle V is not performed. Thus, it is possible to improve safety when switching from autonomous driving to manual driving.
Airbag apparatus
An airbag apparatus includes two airbags. The airbags are respectively accommodated in side accommodation portions in a seat back. The airbags include two side inflation portions and two front inflation portions. Each airbag further includes a tether. Each airbag includes a non-inflation portion. Each tether includes a pass-through section at which the tether is passed through the non-inflation portion. A portion of each tether between the pass-through section and a distal end is arranged along a rear surface of the front inflation portion. A portion of each tether between the pass-through section and a basal end is arranged along an inner surface of the side inflation portion. The basal end of each tether is configured to be fixed to a rear end of the side inflation portion or the seat back. The distal end of each tether is fixed to a front end of the front inflation portion.
Vehicle seat including movable airbag
A seat includes a seat bottom and a seatback rotatable relative to the seat bottom. The seatback is elongated upwardly from the seat bottom along a longitudinal axis of the seatback. An airbag assembly is supported by the seatback in an uninflated position. The airbag includes a housing and an airbag supported by the housing. The housing is moveably engaged with the seatback and moveable relative to the seat along a longitudinal axis of the seatback.
Safety systems
A vehicle includes a body structure that defines a passenger cabin, a seat assembly that is located in the passenger cabin, and a table that includes a table top and an adjustable support assembly. The table top is located adjacent to the seat assembly, the adjustable support assembly includes actuators, and the adjustable support assembly is configured to move the table top with respect to the seat assembly. The vehicle also includes sensors that are configured to generate sensor outputs regarding an environment outside of the vehicle, and a controller that detects a vehicle event based on the sensor outputs. In response to the detection of the vehicle event, the controller outputs a control signal that controls the adjustable support assembly so that the adjustable support assembly moves at least part of the table top away from the seat assembly.
