An airbag includes: a bag main body: and regulating units configured to regulate an expansion completed shape of the bag main body. The bag main body has an expansion completed shape as a substantially square cylindrical shape, where a hollow portion which penetrates substantially along a left-right direction is provided and a circumference of the hollow portion is surrounded by an upper expansion portion and a lower expansion portion and a front expansion portion and a rear expansion portion. The regulating units are arranged at a plurality of horizontally symmetrical locations centered on a center of the bag main body on the left-right directional side and each of the regulating units is configured to straddle the hollow portion when viewed from a lateral side in the left-right direction and at least an upper edge side and a lower edge side are connected to the bag main body side.

Provided is an airbag configured so that, in the inflated state thereof, a recess is formed in a chest restraint area in the passenger facing surface of the airbag, and the portion of the airbag other than the recess has a large inflation thickness. A driver-side airbag 1 is formed by sewing a front panel 2 and a rear panel 3 together. The rear panel 3 is provided with a left tuck portion 12 which extends from the upper left to the lower left, and a right tuck portion 11 which extends from the upper right to the lower right. The tuck portions 11 and 12 increase the inflation thickness of the driver-side airbag 1. A recess 6 is formed in a passenger chest restraint area in the driver-side airbag 1 by a tether 20.

A control valve provided in a communicating portion restricts the supply of gas from a front main chamber to a rear delay chamber during an initial stage of inflation and deployment of the front main chamber. The control valve releases restriction of the supply of the gas from the front main chamber to the rear delay chamber during the later stage of inflation and deployment of the front main chamber.

An airbag which is a constituent of a side airbag device installed in the vehicle seat according to the present invention is provided with a main chamber which deploys toward the front of a side support portion of the seat, and a sub-chamber which accommodates an inflator and which deploys at a position inward of the main chamber in the width direction of the vehicle. The main chamber is divided, by means of a baffle panel, into a main front chamber at the front, and a main rear chamber at the rear. The sub-chamber is linked to the main rear chamber at a side in the width direction of the vehicle. When the airbag is deployed, the baffle panel extends along a front edge of the sub-chamber, as viewed from the width direction of the vehicle.

The present invention relates to a seat airbag for a vehicle in which a cushion storage space 810 capable of accommodating a front cushion 200 is provided at a front end 720 connected to the front cushion 200 in a side cushion 100, and the front cushion 200 folded in a bellows type is inserted and accommodated into the cushion storage space 810. The side cushion 100 and the front cushion 200 can be deployed sequentially with a time difference, so that the reliability of the cushion deployment can be secured.

An airbag assembly includes an airbag having a knee chamber and an upper chamber. A wall fluidly isolates the knee chamber and the upper chamber. A sleeve extends from the knee chamber through the wall to the upper chamber and fluidly communicates the knee chamber and the upper chamber. A one-way vent is in the sleeve. The one-way vent allows for the knee chamber and the upper chamber to be maintained at different relative pressures.

A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion, a seat back having a side support, a frame sidewall in the side support, and a side airbag device. The side airbag device has an airbag in the side support, and an inflator for supplying a gas to the airbag. The airbag has a first chamber to be deployed toward a vehicle front side, a second chamber, and an inner vent hole at a partition between the first and second chambers. The second chamber starts to be deployed prior to the deployment of the first chamber. The gas flows from the second chamber to the first chamber via the inner vent hole. When the second chamber is deployed, at least one of an upper region or a lower region of the second chamber protrudes toward the vehicle front side than a middle region of the second chamber.

A side airbag apparatus including a cushion sheet part having a first insertion slot part and first stud hole parts; a pocket sheet part having a second insertion slot part and second stud hole parts to correspond to the first insertion slot part and the first stud hole parts, respectively, and superposed on the cushion sheet part; partition sheet parts superposed on the cushion sheet part so as to be connected to both sides of the pocket sheet part; first sewing parts that connect the partition sheet parts and the pocket sheet part to the cushion sheet part; a second sewing part that connects superposed ends of the pocket sheet part and partition sheet parts that are folded in half; and a third sewing part that connects superposed circumferential portions of the cushion sheet part after the cushion sheet part is folded on the basis of a center portion thereof.

The present invention provides a seat airbag device for a vehicle, the seat airbag device including an airbag cushion including a lateral chamber positioned at lateral sides of a passenger and configured to be deployed forward from a seatback of a vehicle, a front chamber configured to be deployed forward from an upper side of the seatback to surround the passenger, and an auxiliary chamber configured to be deployed from the front chamber toward a front side of the passenger so as to be positioned between the front chamber and the passenger, and a support tether extending from the seatback and connected to the airbag cushion to support the airbag cushion.

The present invention is a side airbag device housed in the side support part of a vehicle seat and includes an airbag for restraining an occupant and an inflator. The airbag includes a first bag housing the inflator which is capable of inflating and deploying, and a second bag capable of inflating and deploying on the side of the first bag. The second bag is configured to be deployed by inflation gas flowing in from the first bag. At the upper edge of the second bag, an inclined part is formed that is inclined to be lower at the front thereof than at the rear thereof when viewed from the vehicle width direction. The front portion of the inclined part is configured to be located lower than the center line extending in the longitudinal direction of the upper arm of the occupant seated in a vehicle seat.
