SEAT AIRBAG DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A seat airbag device for a vehicle is proposed. The seat airbag device for a vehicle includes: a main chamber located in a vehicle seat at a side portion of an occupant and configured to be deployed toward a front portion of the vehicle when gas is injected thereinto; a sub-chamber connected to a front end of the main chamber and configured to be deployed in a direction intersecting a deployment direction of the main chamber when the gas is injected thereinto; and an expansion portion expanded from the front end of the main chamber and connected to an upper portion or a lower portion of the sub-chamber.
AIR BAG DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
To provide an airbag apparatus capable of quickly and assuredly restraining a passenger. In particular, to make it possible to deploy an airbag in a large area to cover the front surface of the steering wheel quickly and smoothly at the initial stage of deploying the airbag. Moreover, to simplify the compression step of the airbag, thereby reducing manufacturing costs. An airbag apparatus according to the first aspect of the present invention is configured such that the airbag is housed as a compressed body which is compressed to collapse. The second aspect of the present invention is a method for manufacturing an airbag apparatus, wherein the method includes the step of forming a compressed body of an airbag by compressing the airbag so as to collapse the airbag without rolling or folding the airbag.
DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
[Problem]
To provide a driver's side airbag device where an internal diffuser and an airbag cushion can be stitched so as to be able to promptly break.
[Resolution]
A driver's side airbag device 100 is provided with a diffuser 124 that is contained in an airbag cushion 104 and straightens gas flow from an inflator 112. The diffuser 124 has a connecting part 136 that is connected to the inflator 112 and one or a plurality of supply ports that supply gas received from the inflator 112 into the airbag cushion 104. The supply ports include a passenger side supply port 148 that overlaps at a predetermined location of the occupant side panel 120 of the airbag cushion 104 with the diffuser 124 contained therein. The driver's side airbag device 100 is further provided with a temporary stitched part 150 that breakably stitches the diffuser 124 and a predetermined portion of the occupant side panel 120 of the airbag cushion 104 across the occupant side supply opening 148 of the diffuser 124.
SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT PROVIDED WITH SAME
The airbag is provided with a main chamber that deploys toward the front of the vehicle and a pre-chamber that houses the inflator and begins to deploy ahead of the main chamber in the vehicle width direction to the inside of the main chamber. Here, the main chamber is demarcated into a front region and a rear region by a demarcation. The boundary area between the main chamber and the pre-chamber is provided with a front vent that directs the expanding gas from the pre-chamber to the pre-chamber front area and a rear vent that directs the gas to the rear region.
Passenger protection apparatus
A passenger protection apparatus for a vehicle includes an inflator and an airbag body. The inflator is configured to generate gas upon receiving a predetermined actuating signal. The airbag body is folded and configured to deploy by supplying the gas from the inflator to the airbag body. The airbag body includes a predetermined area on which adhesive is applied. An adhesive force of the adhesive is exerted by heat of the gas from the inflator during deployment of the airbag body, so that the predetermined area adheres to an adherend at a desired position.
Airbag and method of manufacturing the same
An airbag includes a mounting portion, a top wall deployable towards a vehicle occupant, and a circumferential wall disposed between the mounting portion and top wall. An airbag base member for forming the airbag includes a top-forming panel for forming the top wall, and at least three circumferential panels that extend generally radially from the top-forming panel and form the circumferential wall by being joined together by adjoining edges thereof. Each of the circumferential panels is formed into a generally band-like contour which has a first and a second curving edges that make the circumferential panel enlarge in width from the leading end towards an intermediate portion and then narrow towards the top-forming panel. When the airbag base member is laid flat, adjoining edges of any two adjoining circumferential panels are generally symmetrical to each other in curving shape with respect to a line disposed there between.

PASSENGER AIRBAG APPARATUS AND DEPLOYING METHOD THEREOF
A passenger airbag apparatus includes a housing installed inside an instrument panel; an airbag cushion installed in the housing, deployed out of the instrument panel by gas produced in an inflator, and having a windshield-facing part and a passenger-facing part which face a windshield and a passenger, respectively, upon deployment; and a diffuser pocket disposed inside the airbag cushion while having a pocket structure capable of adjusting a flow of gas injected from the inflator, and connected to the windshield-facing part and restraining movement of the windshield-facing part toward the windshield.
Side airbag including lower lobe and upper lobe
An airbag assembly includes a housing and a side airbag inflatable to an inflated position. The side airbag in the inflated position has an upper lobe and a lower lobe supporting the upper lobe on the housing. The side airbag includes an internal panel between the upper lobe and the lower lobe. A tether has a first end anchored to the housing and a second end anchored to the upper lobe.
