Manifold to selectively inflate airbags
A vehicle includes a first seat and a first airbag supported by the first seat. The vehicle includes a second seat and a second airbag supported by the second seat. The vehicle includes a middle console disposed between the first seat and the second seat. The vehicle includes a manifold supported by the middle console. The manifold defines a chamber and including a first fluid outlet operatively coupled to the first airbag to provide fluid from the chamber to the first airbag and a second fluid outlet operatively coupled to the second airbag to provide fluid from the chamber to the second airbag. The vehicle includes an inflator supported by the middle console, the inflator operatively coupled to the manifold to provide fluid to the chamber.
Extendable arm assembly
An extendable arm assembly includes an extendable arm structure defining a first axis, a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, and a third axis perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis. The extendable arm structure is configured to be actuated between a stowed configuration and an extended configuration in which the extendable arm structure extends along the first axis. The extendable arm structure includes a main body having a plurality of recesses and a plurality of hinge portions, and a first bladder disposed on the main body delimiting the recesses formed in the main body. The extendable arm assembly is configured to apply vacuum to the recesses to fold the main body along the hinge portions.
SIDE AIRBAG APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES
The present invention relates to an improved side airbag apparatus for vehicles allowing airbag cushions disposed in a first row region and a second row region of an occupant compartment of a vehicle to have the same deployment time and the same deployment direction. A side airbag apparatus for vehicles may include an airbag cushion disposed in a side portion of a seat of a vehicle and an inflator coupled to the airbag cushion and configured to inject gas into an interior of the airbag cushion, wherein the airbag cushion may include a connecting region coupled to the inflator and a rolling region extending from an end of the connecting region, and the rolling region may be bent from the end of the connecting region after rolling is completed.
