The chain guide is configured to guide a chain. The link mechanism movably couples the chain guide to the base member between a retracted position and an extended position in response to movement of an operation cable. The cable guiding structure has one of bore, recess and groove formed on the link mechanism to guide the operation cable. The operation cable exits forwardly from the cable guiding structure within a sector having an angle of 150 degrees around the crank axis from an upper radius lying in a first plane that is perpendicular to a second plane containing a crank axis and a rear wheel axis.

The link mechanism movably couples the chain guide to the base member between a retracted position and an extended position in response to movement of an operation cable. The cable guiding structure guides the operation cable from the cable attachment portion. The cable guiding structure is disposed on at least one of the base member and the link mechanism. The cable guiding structure has a cable exit that is arranged such that the operation cable exits forwardly from the cable guiding structure towards the front of the bicycle.

A compactable bicycle comprising a frame including a first and second frame portions wherein the frame is unfoldable to a use position for riding by the rider and is foldable to a storage position for storage. The bicycle includes: a rear brake, a rear brake lever, a rear break cable passes through a first cable guide, and a brake cable biasing member that is positioned to urge the rear brake cable back through the first cable guide to be between the first cable guide and the rear brake lever: front and rear wheel connectors to hold the front and rear wheels together: a crank, a front sprocket, a rear cassette, rear sprockets, a chain, and a derailleur; a chain guide that is positioned to engage the chain and to limit a lateral angle of the chain relative to the rear sprocket: or first and second frame element locking surfaces and apertures, and a plunger movable to a clamping position and to a release position.

A bicycle derailleur is basically provided with a base member, a movable member, a coupling structure and an attachment member. The base member is configured to be mounted to a bicycle. The base member has an inner wire guide. The inner wire guide has an inlet portion and an outlet portion. The movable member supports a chain guide. The coupling structure movably couples the movable member to the base member so that the movable member is selectively movable relative to the base member. The attachment member is detachably and/or rotatably attached to the outlet portion of the inner wire guide.

A bicycle derailleur is basically provided with a base member, a movable member, a coupling structure and an attachment member. The base member is configured to be mounted to a bicycle. The base member has an inner wire guide. The inner wire guide has an inlet portion and an outlet portion. The movable member supports a chain guide. The coupling structure movably couples the movable member to the base member so that the movable member is selectively movable relative to the base member. The attachment member is detachably and/or rotatably attached to the outlet portion of the inner wire guide.

A front derailleur device for a bicycle chain shift includes a frame fixing part for attachment to a bicycle frame, a hinge arrangement which is pivotable relative to the frame fixing part, and a chain cage which is pivotable relative to the frame fixing part via the pivotable hinge arrangement for guiding and pivoting of the bicycle chain. The hinge arrangement includes at least two hinged struts which can be mounted rotatably relative to the frame fixing part and relative to the chain cage about pivot axes. The pivot axes run substantially parallel to each other and, in a mounted state of the derailleur device on a bicycle, may be oriented substantially vertically.

In an aspect, a compactable bicycle is provided and includes a frame A first frame portion has a steering structure, which has a front wheel. The steering structure further includes a handlebar. A second frame portion has a rear wheel. In a use position the first and second frame portions are unfolded to an unfolded position. In a storage position the first and second frame portions are folded to a folded position, in which the front wheel and the rear wheel are next to each other. The front wheel has a front wheel connector and the rear wheel has a rear wheel connector that is releasably connectable to the front wheel connector to hold the front and rear wheels together.
