Application units for placement of fluid applications to agricultural plants of a field

Application units provide placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, an application unit includes a frame to be positioned in operation between two rows of plants and a plurality of flexible members coupled to the frame in operation such that the plurality of flexible members guide a lateral position of the frame to be approximately equidistant from the two rows of plants based upon whether at least one flexible member of the plurality of flexible members contacts one or more plants of the two rows of plants. The plurality of flexible members include a plurality of fluid outlets for spraying crop input in close proximity to the rows of plants.

PRESSURE-BASED FLOW METER FOR A SPRAY NOZZLE
20220272959 · 2022-09-01 ·

A spray nozzle for an agricultural sprayer includes a first actively controlled valve configured to control flow through the spray nozzle. A first pressure sensor is disposed upstream of the valve and a second pressure sensor is disposed downstream of the valve. The position of a valve member of the valve can be sensed, and a size of a restrictive orifice defined by the valve can be determined based on the sensed position of the valve member. A controller is configured to determine a flow rate through the valve based on a difference between a first pressure reading from the first pressure sensor and a second pressure reading from the second pressure sensor.

Disc For Spray Unit

The present invention relates to a disc (10) for a spinning disc liquid atomizer. A surface (20) of the disc comprises a plurality of concentric rings (30) having different radii centred on the centre of the disc. A first concentric ring (40) of an adjacent pair of concentric rings has a surface configured to exhibit a first level of adhesion to the liquid. A second concentric ring (50) of the adjacent pair of concentric rings has a surface configured to exhibit a second level of adhesion to the liquid, and wherein the first level of adhesion is less than the second level of adhesion.

Sprayer boom charging system

A sprayer boom charging system for an agricultural sprayer is provided that allows a wet boom to be pre-loaded or charged during a charging session with liquid product before starting a spraying session. The boom charging system may deliver liquid product into the boom sections at their downstream ends to flow in a charge-flow or reverse flow direction that is opposite a normal spray delivery flow direction. This purges air from the boom sections and pushes it into the product tank that also collects the purging liquid product so that no liquid product is released onto the ground during the charging session.

Autonomous detection and treatment of agricultural objects via precision treatment delivery system

Various embodiments of an apparatus, methods, systems and computer program products described herein are directed to an agricultural observation and treatment system and method of operation. The agricultural treatment system determines a vehicle pose of a vehicle as the vehicle moves along a path. The system identifies a first target agricultural object for treatment. Based on the determined vehicle pose, the system positions a treatment head of a first treatment unit such that a first projectile fluid may be emitted by the first treatment unit at the identified first target agricultural object. The system then causes an emitter to emit a fluid from the treatment head at the first target agricultural object.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING MULTIPLE LOW RATE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

A system for dispensing low rate agricultural products, includes a syringe-based agricultural product metering system, at least one agricultural product tube, and an agricultural product metering system. The agricultural product metering system is operably connected to a source of low rate agricultural products. The agricultural product tube is operatively connected to the agricultural product metering system. The agricultural product metering system is configured to dispense liquid low rate agricultural products at a low rate defined as below 3.7 fluid ounces per 1000 row feet.

Insulated electrostatically assisted spraying extender
