These depressions are mated with corresponding features for improved loading bearing capabilities. The load bearing structures also includes roughened side edges for improving the strength of the edges. The load bearing structure may be a dunnage platform or a container for storing and/or shipping cargo.

A nestable pallet having three rows of feet extending downward from a support surface is provided. In one aspect, the outer rows of feet are attached by runners at a bottom portion of each foot and the middle row of feet does not include runners. The support surface includes openings to accommodate the outer rows of feet with runners, and the middle row of feet of a like pallet. The absence of runners in the middle row and a corresponding larger opening, allows for greater support area in that portion of the pallet. The pallet can also include reinforcements extending perpendicular to the runners.

QUAD FOOT NESTABLE BLOCK PALLET

A pallet has a rectangular pallet deck with a generally planar upper surface, and a plurality of pallet feet connected by shear members at the four corners. The pallet has an open bottom with a clear span between the pallet feet to allow multiple pallets to be nested together. The pallet feet each have an L-shaped cross section. Holes are formed in the pallet deck to accommodate pallet feet of other pallets when the pallets are nested together. In one embodiment, pallets are nested together by offsetting the pallets in a longitudinal direction. In another embodiment, pallets are nested together by rotating the pallets a quarter turn relative to each other. A metal reinforcement frame is provided inside a plastic exterior to provide increased strength and reduced deflection.

The present disclosure refers to a pallet made of plastics that includes a pallet body and a plurality of support feet, the pallet body having a length (l), a width (w) and a height (h1), the height (h1) extending between an imaginary lower plane (p2) and an imaginary upper plane (p1), wherein the pallet body comprises several body parts being arranged alternately in the upper plane (p1) and the lower plane (p2) along the direction of the width (w), thereby forming grooves extending in the direction of the length (l), wherein at least in one of the grooves several ribs extending in direction of the width (w) are arranged.

A pallet 1 for carrying a load and be lifted by tines of a forklift is disclosed. The pallet 1 comprises a planar deck 10 for receiving a load thereon and a chassis below the deck for supporting the deck. The chassis comprises a plurality of hollow beams 112 of constant quadrilateral cross section in a grid formation to act in bending to assist in pallet load support. The beams 112 span parallel to the plane of the deck 10 and each oriented with vertical sidewalls facing perpendicular to the plane of the deck 10 and horizontal sidewalls facing parallel to the plane of the deck 10. At each intersection of two beams of the grid a first of the two beams has both of its vertical sidewalls removed to allow a second of the two beams to pass through the first beam.

The underside includes pallet support leg attachment areas for receiving pallet support legs when configured as a pallet, and dolly wheel attachment areas for receiving dolly wheels when configured as a dolly. The product support surface includes pallet support leg receiving areas aligned with the pallet support leg attachment areas and configured to engage the pallet support legs from an identical platform stacked thereon when configured as a pallet. The product support surface also includes dolly wheel receiving areas aligned with the dolly wheel wells and configured to engage the dolly wheels from an identical platform stacked thereon when configured as a dolly.
