A pallet includes a plurality of supports which define a base of a pallet and a plurality of deck rings that are interlocked with the plurality of supports and define a surface of the pallet on which goods in need of transport can be stacked, wherein each support and each deck ring of the pallet is a paper core or a section of a paper core. The supports of the pallet are spaced as to define a base of the pallet and one or more channels for receiving a fork of a lifting device. The supports of the pallet also support the deck rings of the pallet in an elevated position above a ground surface when the supports of the pallet are resting on the ground surface. A method for constructing a pallet is also disclosed.

MODULAR PALLETS

A modular pallet formed from a plurality of frame members and a plurality of deck members. The deck members extend between the frame members to define an upper deck surface and optionally a lower deck surface of the pallet. A plurality of spaced-apart channels are formed in at least an upper surface of the frame members to receive the deck members. In some embodiments the pallet may be configured as a stringer pallet and in other embodiments the pallet may be configured as a block pallet. In some embodiments the frame members are unitary stringers. In other embodiments the frame members are modular structures each comprising a block pallet subassembly and a deck support panel. The number, size, orientation and spacing of the channels formed in the frame members and the corresponding arrangement of the deck members may vary in different embodiments of the pallet. Once assembled, the frame members and deck members may be integrally connected, such as by heat welding. In some embodiments the pallet is formed from readily recyclable plastic.

A pallet having a first corrugated sheet with a plurality of first apertures, a second corrugated sheet with a plurality of second apertures, and a plurality of feet provided as separate components is disclosed. Each of the plurality of feet engage the first corrugated sheet such that each of the first apertures of the first corrugated sheet corresponds to an opening of a cavity for one of the plurality of feet. The second corrugated sheet is placed over the plurality of feet such that each of the plurality of feet extend through the plurality of second apertures. The first corrugated sheet is attached to the second corrugated sheet to secure the plurality of feet between the first corrugated sheet and the second corrugated sheet to form the pallet

BULK SHIPPER PALLET AND ISOLATOR FOR BULK FREEZING APPLICATIONS

An isolator includes a first section, a second section, and a third section is disclosed. The first section is configured to secure the isolator in a mount that is defined through a mounting section. The second section is disposed over the first section and is configured to be supported by a first surface of the mounting section. The third section is disposed on top of the second section such that the second section is sandwiched between the first section and the third section. The second section dampens forces exerted on the third section or the first section from being transmitted therebetween. A method for manufacturing a pallet that is configured to be frozen is also disclosed. The method includes friction stir welding along a first joining edge and second joining edge that are abutted together to joined together to form a first segment.

MULTI-LAYER COMPOSITE PULP PRODUCT, AND SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

Exemplary embodiments of a multi-layer composite pulp product comprise one or more pulp layers, and one or more reinforcement layers disposed therebetween. Each of these layers preferably include a respective pattern of opposingly-defined cavities and protrusions, wherein the mutual disposition of the layers results in their patterns axially aligning with one another. The reinforcement layers may be comprised of a recycled plastic, a metallic mesh or a metallic sheet. One example process for manufacturing a multi-layer composite pulp product may comprise fabricating a reinforcement layer, forming a soggy first pulp layer, placing a reinforcement layer on the soggy first pulp layer, forming a soggy second pulp layer, and positioning the soggy second pulp layer on the reinforcement layer. A precursor wet composite may thereby be formed, and may be dried at a selected heating temperature and under a selected pressure.
