Drink bottle
A drink bottle comprises a container and a lid. The lid is removably connected to an open end of the container. A resiliently flexible drinking spout or straw assembly is mounted in the lid. An actuator for actuating a function of the drink bottle is slidably mounted to the lid for sliding movement between a home position and an actuation position. The actuator has a push face accessible from outside the lid for receiving finger pressure for displacing the actuator from the home position toward the actuation position for performing a function of the drink bottle. The actuator has a bearing surface in bearing engagement with the spout or straw assembly such that movement of the actuator from the home position towards the actuation position resiliently deforms the spout or straw assembly and by the resilient deformation the actuator is biased towards the home position.
SANITARY DISPENSING PACKAGE
A package having a sanitary dispenser is depicted and described. The package generally includes a dispenser that is sealed from environmental contaminants by a feature or portion of the package. The sealed dispenser portion of the package is accessed prior to use and the user is able to access the contents of the package through the sanitary dispenser. The dispenser may be inverted prior to use and deployed prior to use. A frangible portion may be provided to the dispenser. The dispenser may be re-sealable in the package. A straw may further be provided to the dispenser and be deployable by the user for access to the package contents.
Lid assemblies for containers
A lid unit for use with a beverage container. The lid unit includes a lid body having a lid cover and a side wall extending downwardly from the lid cover; and a drink straw having a gas relief valve detachably fitted to the lid body. In particular, a rotatable top plate can be placed on the lid cover; and the gas relief valve can permit the pressured gas to escape the lid unit. The gas relief valve can include a valve body, flexible strip and spool. Also, the lid cover has an annular raised rim, and defines two drink orifices. The first drink orifice is shaped and sized to be an elongated slot, and the second drink orifice is shaped and sized to be a circular hole for insertion of the drink straw. The two drink orifices are spaced apart circumferentially and in fluid communication with the beverage container.
Lid system for beverage container
A lid system for a beverage container is disclosed that improves hygiene and ease of use by integrating a hands-free, self-deploying straw mechanism. The lid body includes a slidable cover that moves along a recessed channel between open and closed positions. Beneath the cover, a cavity houses a straw assembly including a pivotable spout and removable straw portion. As the lid cover is slid open, a spring-biased mechanism automatically pivots the spout from a stowed position to a deployed position aligned with a central fluid outlet. Magnetic elements may assist actuation of the lid cover, enabling one-handed operation and minimizing contact with fluid-path components. When closed, the lid cover conceals and seals the spout and air vent to prevent contamination and leakage.
