Container having outer housing and inner package
The container includes an outer housing with a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a back wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall. The top wall defines an access opening for providing access to the interior of the outer housing. An inner package is disposed within the outer housing, and includes a recessed base and a cover member overlying the recessed base, which together form a sealed enclosure for one or more consumer goods. The inner package is held in a fixed position within the outer housing such that a first portion of the inner package underlies the top wall and a first portion of the cover member underlies and is exposed by the access opening. The first portion of the cover member is separable from the remainder of the inner package to allow removal of consumer goods.
Shaker top with freshness seal and method of making same
A shaker top for dispensing products in a container, including a top unit having a peelable protective cover affixed upon a dispensing liner having at least one perforation, the top unit affixed to a mouth of a container. A method of manufacturing a shaker top with a peelable protective cover, including the steps of affixing a peelable protective cover upon a dispensing liner, assembling a top unit including the peelable protective cover and the dispensing liner, affixing the top unit to a mouth of a container, and covering the container with a cap. A shaker top with a peelable protective cover attached to a container, manufactured by the method of manufacture. A method of using a container having a shaker top with a freshness seal.
Peelable lid for container with multi-point peel system
A peelable lid system includes a peelable lid, a seal configured to seal the peelable lid to a container, a handle coupled to the peelable lid, and a lifting mechanism coupled to handle. The lifting mechanism can be coupled to the peelable lid at a plurality of attachment points, including at least one attachment point coupled to the peelable lid away from the handle. The lifting mechanism can be configured to lift at least one portion of the peelable lid near each of the plurality of attachment points.
COMPONENT WITH SHEET MATERIAL ADHERED TO SURFACE THEREOF
A component has a surface to which a sheet material having an adhesive surface is adhered, and an adhesive target region on a surface of the component, to which the sheet material is adhered, is provided at the peripheral edge thereof with a first region and a second region. The first region includes a recess that allows a predetermined sheet material peeling tool to be insertable to a side of the adhesive surface of the sheet material. The second region is positioned in the vicinity of the first region, and includes a region not in contact with the adhesive surface of the sheet material or a region mixedly including a part in contact with the adhesive surface and a part not in contact with the adhesive surface.
Tamper evidence feature
A spiral part used as a tamper evident feature an a peal reclose label. The spiral is formed on a pressure sensitive adhesive label, and the spiral is unraveled in order to open the package. Once unraveled, it is difficult to reclose the package with the spiral in its original place. In one embodiment, there is a special color to the label, so that once the package is opened, it can be seen.
LIDDED CONTAINER AND CONTAINER USED THEREFOR
The present invention provides a lidded container which, even when a flange portion of the container warps during microwave heating, can prevent a contact between the flange portion and a lid and allows steam to pass from a steam escape mechanism.
The lidded container is provided with a container having an opening and a lid which covers the opening and is joined to the container. The container is provided with a bottom portion, a side portion standing upright from the bottom portion, and a flange portion which is continuously connected to an upper portion of the side portion and includes a first plane. A circumferential seal portion is formed between the lid and the first plane of the flange portion. The seal portion is provided with a main seal portion and a protruding seal portion protruding inward with respect to the main seal portion. At least one of the flange portion and the lid is formed with a contact suppression mechanism for suppressing a contact between the flange portion and the lid, which is provided outside the protruding seal portion at a position corresponding to at least the protruding seal portion.
Food container with seal-on cover
A food container is disclosed that includes a food compartment and a seal-on cover. The food compartment has an outer rim that circumscribes a volume. The food compartment outer rim has tear tab guides that extend outward from the rim. The seal-on cover has a peripheral edge with two portions, the first portion is connected to the rim and the second portion is not connected to the rim and extends past the outer rim forming an overhang. The extended tear tab guides are located adjacent to the overhang and direct the user as to where the tear line begins at the overhang and extends to an opposite side of the peripheral edge. When a user pulls on the overhang, the seal-on cover tears along the tear line and exposes a portion of the volume.
SEPARATE FOOD CUPS JOINED BY SEAL SHEET HINGE
A food containment assembly includes a first cup with a first sealing flange and a second cup with a second sealing flange. The second cup is separate from and disposed adjacent to the first cup. A seal sheet is adhered to the first sealing flange and the second sealing flange, and the seal sheet forms a hinge to allow rotation of the second cup with respect to the first cup. The seal sheet includes a first slit disposed proximate the hinge and a second slit proximate the hinge, wherein tearing the seal sheet along the first slit allows access to contents of the first cup and tearing the seal sheet along the second slit allows access to contents of the second cup and the hinge remains intact.
