MOISTURE WICKING AND ABSORBING HEADBAND OR HEADWEAR INSERT
An article to be worn on or around the head for absorbing and/or wicking perspiration. The article may include an elongated body portion and one or more extension features extending from the body portion for guiding absorption and/or evaporation of moisture. The article may be formed of a larger material adapted to provide greater coverage to a wearer's head. The article (10) is formed of: an interior layer (14) adapted to contact a source of moisture; a vertically lapped fibrous layer (12); and an exterior layer (16); wherein the fibrous layer (12) is sandwiched between the interior layer (14) and the exterior layer (16).
Infant bodysuit of multi-layer construction
The invention provides for an infant bodysuit (10) of multi-layer construction which includes a fabric layer (30) laminated to the inside of the infant bodysuit (10) which fabric layer (30) may consist of a substantially water proof membrane (32) which operatively serves to retain moisture on the inside thereof and allow transfer of moisture through the membrane and evaporation thereof on the outside of the membrane, characterised in that the membrane is an imperforate monolithic membrane that may be selected to provide a transfer mechanism for moisture which includes the steps of absorption of moisture on one side of the membrane where there may be higher humidity, diffusion through the membrane, and desorption of moisture on the other side of the membrane where there may be lower humidity.
Moisture absorbing anti-leak undergarments
Undergarments that are uniquely constructed to absorb fluids, such as those associated with sweat and lactation, in either prescribed areas of the undergarment or throughout the totality thereof.
Garment with wipe zones
A garment having one or more wipe zones for transferring away perspiration from a wearer's skin upon contact with the wearer's skin is provided herein. The wipe zones may be comprised of hydrophobic material formed from yarns having a smaller denier per filament (DPF) than adjacent non-wipe zones on the garment. In some aspects, the DPF of the wipe-zone material is within a range of 0.025 to 0.0025. The wipe zones may be positioned on an outer-facing surface of the garment or an inner-facing surface of the garment in areas that are readily accessible to remove perspiration from the wearer's hands and/or head. Methods of manufacturing a garment having wipe zones are also provided herein.
Moisture control fabrics
The present disclosure provides articles of manufacture with improved moisture control as well as methods of making such articles. In some embodiments, provided herein the article has a fabric with an outer hydrophobic surface and an inner surface with hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions where the hydrophilic regions can form a pattern, allowing moisture to collect and move through the pattern, and the hydrophobic regions prevent the whole inner surface from becoming moist and the outer hydrophobic regions does not show moisture. The fabric may be used to make garments. The entire inner surface of the garment may be patterned with hydrophilic patterns for partial absorption, and the entire outer surface of the garment is hydrophobic, thereby preventing perspiration from being seen from outside of the garment. Further provided herein are methods of making fabrics with improved moisture control including by printing or knitting.
BREATHABLE, WICKING NONWOVEN MATERIAL
An article including one or more moisture wicking layers and one or more fibrous layers. The fibrous layers may have generally vertically oriented fibers, which may be oriented generally perpendicularly to a surface having or producing moisture. The article may be adapted to remove moisture form the surface having or producing moisture. The article may be breathable. The article may be quick drying. The article may provide cushioning. The article may be a wearable item.
Infant teething bodysuit
Articles for Infant teething bodysuit in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, an article of clothing comprising: a first arm portion comprising: a first teething surface wherein the first teething surface is affixed to a distal end of the first arm portion, and the first teething surface curves perpendicular to the length of the first arm portion; and a first water resistant surface attached to an outer surface of the distal end of the first arm portion; and a second arm portion comprising: a second teething surface wherein the second teething surface is affixed to a distal end of the second arm portion; and the second teething surface curves perpendicular to the length of the second arm portion; and a second water resistant surface attached to an outer surface of the distal end of the second arm portion.
Quick-Drying Lightweight Bra
Aspects herein are directed to a bra having a front portion formed with multiple layers of mesh to provide a supportive, modest bra that is breathable, lightweight, and quick drying. The front portion includes an interior support panel assembly having a first panel made of a mesh material and a second panel made of a spacer mesh material that is adjacent and external to the first panel. The front portion also includes an upper support panel made of a spacer mesh material and a lower support panel made of a mesh material that each are positioned adjacent and external to the interior support panel assembly. The upper support panel and the lower support panel are each defined by a top edge and a bottom edge, and at least a portion of the upper support panel bottom edge may be positioned superior to the lower support panel bottom edge.
Foundation Garments for Use by Uniformed Personnel
Undergarments to be worn beneath protective equipment are provided. The undergarments include a primary material comprising a wick away material, the primary material defining a wearable undergarment; a plurality of pockets comprising the wick away material, wherein the plurality of pockets are attached to the wearable undergarment at positions that will contact an area on the wearer identified as routinely being irritated by the protective equipment; and a plurality of removable spacers comprising a secondary material, different from the primary material. The plurality of removable spacers are inserted into and/or removed from corresponding ones of the plurality of pockets. The plurality of removable spacers create space between the undergarment and the wearer of the undergarment to allow airflow and reduce heat trapping.
