The present disclosure provides articles of manufacture with improved moisture control as well as methods of making such articles. In some embodiments, provided herein the article has a fabric with an outer hydrophobic surface and an inner surface with hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions where the hydrophilic regions can form a pattern, allowing moisture to collect and move through the pattern, and the hydrophobic regions prevent the whole inner surface from becoming moist and the outer hydrophobic regions does not show moisture. The fabric may be used to make garments. The entire inner surface of the garment may be patterned with hydrophilic patterns for partial absorption, and the entire outer surface of the garment is hydrophobic, thereby preventing perspiration from being seen from outside of the garment. Further provided herein are methods of making fabrics with improved moisture control including by printing or knitting.

A textile undergarment includes an inner side directed toward a body of a wearer, and an outer side which is arranged opposite to the inner side. At least one region of the textile undergarment is formed in at least two layers via an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer forms the inner side of the textile undergarment from a liquid-absorbing textile material. The outer layer forms the outer side of the textile undergarment from a 3D knitted fabric which prevents a transfer of a liquid from the inner layer to the outer side of the textile undergarment.

The odour filtering material includes an activated carbon layer, a first fabric layer bonded to one side of the activated carbon layer, and a second fabric layer bonded to an opposite side of the activated carbon layer. The thickness of the odour filtering material is equal to or less than 0.8 mm and the odour filtering material is configured to be able to stretch by more than 20% in at least one direction. Garments constructed according to the disclosure may be used in the treatment of TMAU which is a condition causing the patients to produce pungent body odour. The garment also may be used for sportswear.

A moisture management fabric using denier differential to facilitate the movement of sweat away from the wearer's body is presented. An exemplary moisture management support garment constructed from an exemplary moisture management fabric is presented. An exemplary moisture management support garment is a moisture transporting sport bra. A denier differential is employed to provide superior moisture transporting and evaporation of perspiration from a wearer during exertion. The denier differential relies upon a facing layer and a back layer with substantially different yarn thickness and fabric porosity to achieve fluid transport.
