Modular cargo system
11420790 · 2022-08-23 ·

A system for palletizing cargo includes a number of components that may be combined to produce an assembled pallet of cargo. A pallet base provides a cargo area where a payload may be stacked. The pallet base includes protective features such as feet that raise the payload above surface level, bumpers that prevent and absorb impacts to the pallet base, and a rim that encircles the cargo area. A pallet top is placed on top of the payload, opposite the pallet base, and a set of straps are used to connect the pallet base to the pallet top and friction fit the payload therebetween. Each of the base and top include a series of holes and spacers that allow airflow to pass around the bottom and top of the payload, while the bumpers allow airflow around the sides, even when the assembled pallets are surrounded by other cargo.

Intermediate bulk container

A container for the transport and storage of goods includes an internal fillable tank and an external support structure surrounding the tank. The external support structure has a base structure arranged below the tank, such that a base of the tank is supported on the base structure. The external support structure also has an upper support structure arranged above the tank for absorbing loads exerted on the tank from above. The base structure includes a plurality of lower column portions, and the upper support structure includes a plurality of corresponding upper column portions, which each project from opposing faces of the base structure and the upper support structure respectively and which meet somewhere along the height of the tank, thereby forming a number of columns for laterally supporting the tank.

Shipping frame

An improved shipping frame for use with storage and/or transporting goods includes four corner posts and a top surface and a bottom surface. The corner posts comprise of telescoping leg sections whereby the smaller dimensioned section fits within the larger dimensioned section and can be locked at a particular height. A spacer is positioned between the gap of the different dimensioned leg sections so as to reduce and preferably eliminate any angular displacement of the leg sections.

A modular shipping skid for an engine is provided. The skid includes a base sized to receive an engine thereon, at least one alignment member projecting from the base, and a plurality of vertically extending support members extending from the base. The skid includes a fixture plate having an opening to fit a profile of the at least one alignment member and secure the fixture plate onto the base. The engine is mounted to a fixture on the fixture plate, and different fixture plates are provided with different fixtures to accommodate different sized engines on the same base.

PALLET APPARATUS

A pallet for carrying an object. The pallet may include a receiving surface to support the object. The pallet may include a socket and may be part of a pallet assembly including a rotationally asymmetrical positioning rod operable to be selectively repositioned within the socket with a main body extending above the receiving surface to restrain a lateral movement of the object. The pallet may include a support frame to support the plurality of objects thereon. The support frame may including a plurality of post supports. The pallet may include a plurality of stacking post assemblies each including a first post having a bottom end pivotally secured to the support frame and a second post operable to move between an extended position engaged with the post support and the first post and a retracted positon engaged with only one of the post support and the first post.

Modular pallet system for transporting bulky and fragile goods in a multi-story constellation

Modular pallet system for transporting bulky and fragile goods in a multi-story constellation, the system consists of the modules basic-pallet, vertical-pillars, longitudinal-reinforce-elements and transversal-reinforce-elements. The basic-pallet provides the surface for placing the cargo and for lashing via integrated tie-down points. Further junction points at the edges of the basic-pallet are for the connection with the vertical-pillars and through these with the reinforce elements, necessary to provide the assembly's stability, enabling stack ability with additional basic-pallets on top.

Pallet, pallet stacking system and pallet stacking method

A pallet that is stackable in an up-down direction in which upper end portions of a plurality of columns of a pallet disposed in a lower stage are inserted into inserted portions provided in lower end portions of columns of a pallet disposed in an upper stage. A height of at least one column is higher than heights of other columns.

Molded container assembly

A molded container assembly includes a pallet, a molded container, and a plurality of connection systems. The pallet supports the molded container thereon and includes stacking alignment structure for stacking the pallet on another molded container assembly. The molded container includes a tank portion, several leg supports, several buttresses, and several horizontally extending ribs. The tank portion includes several curved sidewalls and a fill opening. The leg supports include lower and upper sections that extend above the fill opening for spacing a pallet stacked on top of the molded container above the fill opening. The upper sections include pallet engaging structure for engaging pallets of at least two different types. The horizontally extending ribs minimize outward deflection due to hydrostatic loading and/or pressurization. The connection systems include washers that allow for shrinkage and expansion between the molded container and the pallet in a number of directions.
