Disposable beverage lid
The present invention is directed to a lid for use on a drinking container. The lid is capable of being releasably sealably engaged with a top end of the container. The lid can be secured to the container in a manner to resist displacement of the lid if the container is dropped or tipped. The lid includes a tab portion, which is capable of being depressed by a user's mouth, tongue or lip so as to provide an opening in the lid. The tab portion is also biased so as to return to a closed position to close the opening upon removal of pressure against the tab portion. The tab portion can have a perimeter larger in at least one dimension than the opening to resist fluid discharge when in the closed position.
Ringless Metal Cans and Method
A can comprises a can body (10) and a lid (4). The can body is manufactured using only a single homogeneous piece of material and has an edge that defines a top opening into the can. The can body also has an inwardly directed bead (23), which extends around the body, is adjacent to the can body edge, and defines an inwardly facing sealing surface (24) of substantially constant transverse cross-sectional dimension along an axial extent. The lid defines an outwardly directed sealing surface which abuts the inwardly facing sealing surface presented by the inwardly directed bead in order to seal the lid to the can body. An alternative can body has an inwardly directed pinched or collapsed bead which defines an upwardly facing sealing surface (34) for engagement with a downwardly facing sealing surface of a can lid. The alternative can body additionally has an inwardly directed bead (35) between the can body edge and the pinched or collapsed bead. An outer brim (42) of the lid is configured to be retained between the two beads of the alternative can body.
Container Lid Assembly with Displaceable Slider Element
A container lid assembly outfits a container includes a lower lid construction and a slider element. The slider element is received in the lower lid construction and is linearly displaceable in a back and forth manner relative to the lower lid construction for opening and closing the container lid. The lower lid construction includes concave surfacing and the slider element includes convex surfacing. The slider element seats atop the lower lid construction such that the convex surfacing and concave surfacing form a spherical surface-to-surface seal and enabling slidable open-close functionality. The slider element is resiliently actuable when seated atop the lower lid construction for enhancing seated engagement therebetween. The slider element includes a step-down formation cooperable with resilient actuation thereof for further enhancing seated engagement between the slider element and the lower lid construction. The container lid further locks to the container when in an actuated lower lid configuration.
INJECTION MOLDED LID
Disclosed herein is an injection molded lid for use with a container. The lid includes a lid body and a securing member, respectively made of a first material and a second material. The lid body includes a cover portion and a flange portion disposed around the periphery of the cover portion. One side wall of the flange portion has one or more notches. The securing member includes at least one tab and a frame disposed at the flange portion. The tab extends from the top or bottom of the frame and covers the notch. Also disclosed herein is a container and lid assembly that includes a container and an above-described injection molded lid.
Injection molded lid
An injection molded lid (100) for use with a container, which includes a lid body (110) and a securing member (150). The lid body (110) includes a cover portion (120) and a flange portion (130). One side wall (134) of the flange portion has one or more notches (138). The securing member (150) includes a frame (152) and at least one tab (154). The tab (154) covers the notch. The securing member (150) provides extra fastening strength that prevents the spillage or leakage of the content within the container.
Paper lid for a container
The invention relates to a lid for closing a container, preferably a cup, the lid being made from a paper- or a cardboard-material, wherein the lid comprises a topwall which covers the opening of the container and a sidewall directed at an angle relative to the topwall, wherein one end of the sidewall can engage sealingly with the top end of the container. The present invention further relates to a set comprising a lid and a container.
Lid-to-container locking combination and method
A lid-to-container locking combination maximizes lid-to-container retention and includes a container and a container lid. The container includes an upper container rim and a container wall. The container wall includes a radially outwardly extending indentation or groove located in inferior adjacency to the upper container rim at an inner surface thereof. The container lid includes a rim-receiving groove, a lid wall, and a wall-to-groove resilient portion. The resilient portion traverses a structural distance between the lid wall and the rim-receiving groove and is resiliently actuable intermediate a relaxed configuration and an actuated configuration. The resilient portion includes a radially outer indentation-engaging portion. The rim-receiving groove receives the upper container rim, and the indentation-engaging portion engages the radially outwardly extending indentation when in the actuated configuration. The rim-receiving groove and radially outer the indentation-engaging portion together lock the container lid to the liquid container for cooperatively maximizing lid-to-container retention.
LID
A lid having an excellent sealability of an opening part of a container is for attaching to an opening part of a container in a removable manner, characterized in including a cover wall and a side wall which surrounds the circumference of the cover wall, which is tapered from an upper end towards an lower end and which is made of a paper material, wherein the cover wall and the side wall are integrated with each other by a standing part formed on the circumference of the cover wall being joined to an inner surface of an upper wall of the side wall, wherein an engaging part for engaging with the opening part of the container is provided on an inner circumferential side of a lower wall of the side wall.
Child resistant package with multiple storage compartments
A container including a lid, a first body, a second body and a latch is provided. The first body connects to the lid by a first hinge for pivoting between a lid closed position and a lid open position. The first body defines a storage cavity. The second body connects to the first body by a second hinge for pivoting the first body relative to the second body between a first body closed position and a first body open position. The second body defines a storage cavity. The latch is attached to the second body. The latch is transitionable between a latched position in which the latch engages the lid and prevents transitioning either the lid or the first body to the corresponding open positions.
PAPER LID FOR A CONTAINER
