Lid and method of using a lid
The present disclosure relates to a lid and a method of using a lid. The lid includes a body having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a perimeter. The lid also includes a sealing member carried by the perimeter of the body. The sealing member is configured to move between a first position and a second position. The method of using the lid includes the step of positioning the lid with the sealing member in a second position above an open end of a container. The method further includes the step of securing the lid and the container together by moving the sealing member from the second position to a first position to cause engagement of the sealing member with the container thereby forming a removable attachment and a substantial seal between the lid and the container.
NOVEL TAMPER PROMINENT CONTAINERS
The present invention is directed to containers and packaging that incorporate novel tamper evident features that make prominent the evidence of tamper. In particular, the novel tamper prominent containers of the present invention comprise newly designed tamper prominent images, i.e., prominent continuity control (PCC) images. Additionally, the present invention provides novel methods of increasing prominence of the evidence of tamper with a container, e.g., of consumer goods, by incorporating prominent continuity control (PCC) images integrated with a button locking assembly that must be removed to open a locked container making prominent the evidence of tamper through clear visualization in the PCC image, e.g., prominently displaying an image of a broken lock after full fracture and removal of the button locking assembly.
LID FOR A CUP
A lid for a cup for beverages may include an annular lid bottom part, which can be placed on an upper cup edge, and a substantially circular lid disk. The lid bottom part and lid disk may be made of paper and may be connected in a liquid-tight manner along an edge groove pointing downwards in the direction of the cup and along an edge flange. The edge flange may point upwards in the opposite direction and may be inserted in the edge groove.
CONTAINER WITH A SEALING COVER
A container assembly includes a container having an open top formed in an upper section of the container. The upper section of the container includes an inner peripheral surface, an outer peripheral surface and a flange formed between the inner and the outer peripheral surfaces. The open top is defined by the inner peripheral surface. A cover made by flexible material includes a skirt which includes a first lip, a second lip and a valley formed between the first and second lips. When the cover is mounted to the open top of the container, the flange of the container is engaged with the valley, the first lip is fully in contact with the inner peripheral surface, and the second lip is fully in contact with the outer peripheral surface so as to form an air-tight status. By lifting the second lip, the cover is easily removed from the container.
Lid and Method for Producing/Manufacturing Thermoformed Disposable Lid for a Drinking Cup with Integrated Straw Mouthpiece Portion and Multi-Level Punch
A disposable lid for a drinking cup comprised of polymeric material formed as a single piece combination straw and lid as a means for drinking beverages from a cup by method of tipping and sipping and manufactured by method of thermoforming in a manner involving a multiple level punch.
Container lid with integral lid holder
An improved container lid comprising an integral lid retaining channel which is configured to accept and be press fit onto the circumferential rim of a container, such as, for instance, a coffee cup is disclosed in preferred and various alternate embodiments. The improved container lid of the invention may comprise any material suitable for container lids such as paper, waxed paper, plastic, or other materials known in the art. The improved container lid of the invention is adapted to be retained upon, for example, a lip of a beverage container while the beverage container is in use. Thus, the improved container lid of the invention prevents accidental loss of the container lid and may be used in an open or closed position.
CUP LID
A liquid container includes a brim forming a mouth opening into a product receiving chamber formed in a cup. A lid is coupled to the rim to close the mouth of the cup.
Drink cup lid
A liquid container includes a cup having a brim forming an opening into an interior region of the cup. The container also includes a lid configured to mount on the brim of the cup to close the opening.
BEVERAGE CUP LID FOR SUSPENDING A CAN IN THE CUP INTERIOR
A lid is provided which permits a user to drink from a beverage can suspended within the interior of a disposable coffee cup. The user can thereby drink from the beverage can without the user's lips touching the can surface. Also it appears to an observer that the user is drinking from the disposable cup, not the beverage can, and also the beverage can is insulated to keep it cold. According to one embodiment, the lid has a standard outer circumference which engages and seals with the rim of the disposable cup. It also has an inner circular attachment ring attached to the lower inner surface of the lid which has tabs to grasp the rim of the beverage can and form an upper chamber through which the beverage can flow from the beverage can opening to the lid's drinking aperture. A gasket seals the circumference of the circular ring against the beer can. Thus the beverage can is suspended in the interior of the coffee cup and the beverage flows from the beverage can through the lid aperture when the cup is tipped.
Reversible lid and container forming a variable-volume food canister
Reversible lid (1) for a storage or reheating canister, comprising a first (2) airtight attachment means designed to cooperate with an upper edge (4) of a container (5) when the lid (1) is arranged along a first direction on the container (5) and a second (3) airtight attachment means designed to cooperate with said upper edge (4) of the container (5) when the lid is arranged in the reverse direction on the container (5), characterized in that the lid (1) comprises a two-way steam release mechanism (10), connecting the two opposite surfaces of the lid, and in that said two-way release mechanism (10) allows a flow to pass between the two surfaces of the lid (1) when the pressure difference between the two surfaces is greater than or equal to a value (P0), particularly when reheating food in a microwave oven.
