11077603 · 2021-08-03 ·

A process for manufacturing a container with a closure-release mechanism relates to thermoforming a plastic sheet to form a container with a clam shell locking system in order to facilitate a secure closure and easy opening packaging container. The clam shell locking arrangement comprises a post which is secured in an aperture when the container is in closed state. The post is a projection or protrusion in a vertical or nearly vertical sidewall of the cover of the thermoformed package and fits securely into the aperture, which is a cut-out made in the outer, and optionally also the inner, wall segments of the vertical or nearly vertical surfaces of the base section of the thermoplastic containers.

A tamper evident container includes a cover with a first interlocking flange with a first tab for opening the container and a first extension joined to the first tab along a first frangible score line, a base with a second interlocking flange with a second tab for opening the container and a second extension joined to the second tab along a second frangible score line, a rim extending around a perimeter of the base, the rim having a flat portion connected to an outer wall, and a flange portion extending from the outer wall portion, wherein a position of the flat portion and the flange portion correspond to a sheet line, and wherein the first and second interlocking flanges, when securely fastened together, prevent access to the first and second tabs, and require more force to separate than to sever the first and second extensions along the frangible score lines.

Method for forming a reclose mechanism on a reclosable package

A food package for sliced food products to be maintained with a fluffed appearance, the package including a rigid base member forming a compartment for receiving the food product and a rigid lid sealed to the compartment. Advantageously, the base member includes a bottom wall and side wall portions that are configured to engage the food product to hold the slices in a fluffed arrangement thereof. Preferably, one or more tapered side wall portions hold the food product upwardly toward the lid and inwardly toward a center of the package. In preferred embodiments, the base member and lid provide a rigid-rigid construction of the food package. In preferred embodiments, the food package is also configured to stand-up in a vertical display orientation and does not require the food product be contained within a sealed pouch within the compartment.

Drink cup lid

A container includes a cup and a lid. The lid is adapted to mate with a brim included in the cup to close a top aperture opening into an interior liquid-storage region formed in the cup.

Multi-chamber container

A multi-chamber container is provided having a main container and a main lid. The main container is configured to receive a first inner container which rests on the rim section of the main container. An optional cover for the first inner container is typically provided. A second inner container is releasably attached to, and held to, the lower surface of the main lid by an inner attachment section. The main container is sealed by a skirt section on the main lid so that the contents within the main container, the first inner container, and the second inner container, are only accessible when the lid has been detached from the container, and the first and second containers have been removed. A low cost, easily assembled, secure, single-use, multi-chamber container is provided.

CONTAINER WITH LID HAVING FLUORINATED POLYMER INTERNAL SURFACE AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME

Containers and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The containers include internal fluoropolymer surfaces, optionally comprising fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), within the storage compartments. Such fluoropolymer surfaces may be incorporated into the containers via in-mold labeling, for example. Optionally, the containers are useful for storing cannabis extracts that are typically sticky. Low surface energy of the robust fluoropolymer surfaces in such containers help to prevent adherence of the sticky products to the container surfaces.
