A medical device assembly is disclosed, comprising a medical device, such as a urinary catheter, and preferably having a hydrophilic surface coating, and a package forming a closed compartment around the catheter. The package is formed of at least one sheet of tearable material and comprises a first weld extending along a first side in a first direction of the package and a second weld extending along a second side in a second direction of the package. The first and second directions are different and preferably orthogonal to each other. A tear line is provided in the second weld, and arranged to direct a subsequent tear towards the first weld. Further, the first weld is provided with an inward protrusion, protruding inwardly towards the closed compartment, at a distance from the second weld. A corresponding method of production is also disclosed.

An overlay is provided for a medication card of the type having a plurality of pharmaceutical products arranged in at least one row. The overlay includes a planar body having a front surface, and a plurality of openings formed in the planar body, with locations of the plurality of openings substantially corresponding to locations of the plurality of products of the medication card. The overlay further includes instructions provided on the front surface of the body for ingesting the plurality of products of the medication card.

A product mailer with an envelope and a first card positioned within the envelope. The first card has a bottom surface and a plurality of containers mounted to the bottom surface of the first card. Each of the containers mounted to the first card defines a cavity dimensioned to hold a respective product. A second card is positioned within the envelope. The second card has a bottom surface facing the bottom surface of the first card. A plurality of containers are mounted to the bottom surface of the second card. A child-resistant blister package. The package has a top face, a bottom face, and a periphery. The package also has a protection layer with a top face, a bottom face and a periphery; a blister layer with one or more cavities; and an access layer with a top face, a bottom face, and a periphery. The bottom face of the access layer has a line of weakness that allows the unit dose to be removed from the cavity in one-step by applying a force to the top of the cavity and pressing the unit dose through the line of weakness. The bottom face of the protection layer and the top face of the access layer are permanently joined along substantially the entire periphery of the package. The blister package can also contain a tear resistant layer.

A packaged oral care implement (1000) and method of opening the same. In one embodiment, the package (2000) includes a tab (106) on a first panel (100) of the package that is strategically located so that the oral care implement itself (1000) acts as a foundation or barrier adjacent to the tab that assists with shearing the first panel to release the tab.
