Hose-reeling apparatus
11673763 · 2023-06-13 · ·

A hosed-reeling apparatus comprising a hose reel and a rack having a front opening for demountably receiving and supporting the hose reel. The hose reel has two sidewalls, a connection member concentrically coupling the two sidewalls, and two spindles extending laterally outward from the centers of the two sidewalls, respectively. The rack has at least a base framework, and a locking structure configurable between an unlock position and a lock position. The base framework has two upward facing channels on opposite sides thereof for demountably receiving the hose reel spindles. The channels are accessible from thereabove when the locking structure is at the unlock position, and the channels are inaccessible from thereabove when the locking structure is at the lock position. Each of the sidewalls of the hose reel may have at least one straight outer edge, allowing the hose reel sit stably on a horizontal surface or a ramp.

Pipe deployment reel adapter shaft systems and methods

Techniques for implementing a pipe deployment system that includes a pipe reel, in which the pipe reel includes reel ends and a reel drum and the pipe reel enables a pipe segment to be wrapped on the reel drum. The pipe deployment system includes a brake assembly with a brake wheel having a shaft socket keyed with flat inner surfaces, and a shaft adapter assembly, which includes an adapter head to be coupled between the pipe reel and the brake assembly. The adapter head includes an adapter shaft keyed with flat outer surfaces, in which the adapter shaft matingly interlocks with the shaft socket and is to be partially inserted through a reel end of the pipe reel, and a rotation control pin coupled to the adapter shaft, in which the rotation control pin is to be inserted between adjacent reel spokes in the reel end of the pipe reel.

CABLE-COILING SYSTEM

An automated system for coiling a large (e.g., >1000 km) length of cable in a cable tank. In an example embodiment, the system comprises a gantry positioned above the cable tank and a swarm of robots deployed on the floor of the tank. The gantry operates to controllably move a touchdown point of the cable, which is being fed into the tank by a cable engine. Each of the robots is equipped with a rake that can be used to push or pull downed sections of the cable on the floor of the tank. An electronic controller operates to control the speed of the cable engine and movements of the gantry and individual robots to coil the cable in the tank in spirally wound, vertically stacked layers. Different embodiments of the system may be used for cable coiling at the cable factory and on the deck of a cable-laying ship.

CRANE AND CABLE DRUM UNIT FOR SAME

A crane (2), more particularly a mobile fast-erecting crane, having at least one supply connection to which a supply line (16), more particularly a power cable, can be connected, wherein the supply line can be wound on a cable drum (15), which can be mounted on a drum mount (10) on the crane, with the cable drum being mounted to rotate on a drum support frame (18), which has running gear (18) for moving the cable drum over the ground and which has releasable mounting means, shaped to match the drum mount of the crane, for separably mounting the drum support frame on the drum mount of the crane. The invention further relates to a cable drum unit for winding a supply line (16) of a crane (2).

Rapid deployment frac water transfer system

Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for rapid deployment and retrieval of a frac water transfer system.

CARRIER FOR POSITIONING EROSION CONTROL BARRIER SEGMENTS
20170291788 · 2017-10-12 ·

A carrier for an elongated, weighty tubular member, and more particularly to such a carrier suitable for use in loading thereon at a first location, transporting to a second location and dispensing along a boundary line along the ground, a flexible, tubular member intended for use as an erosion barrier.

MARINE PIPELINE INSTALLATION VESSEL AND METHOD FOR LAYING AN OFFSHORE RIGID PIPELINE IN THE SEA

A marine pipeline installation vessel and a method are provided for laying an offshore rigid pipeline in the sea, the vessel at least being adapted to carry out the rigid reel lay method. The vessel includes at least one vertical storage reel for the storage of a spooled rigid pipeline. A left and right reel support structure are provided to support the weight of the at least one storage reel. The left and right support structures are embodied to form a pivoting structure allowing an angular adjustment of the horizontal reel axis about a vertical axis to alter the angular position of the at least one storage reel.

Pipe spooling deployment equipment systems and methods

Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a pipe drum, which has a drum shaft and a drum body that enables a pipe segment to be spooled on the pipe drum, and pipe deployment equipment. The pipe deployment equipment includes a brake disc, which has a shaft socket that is keyed to matingly interlock with the drum shaft to facilitate tying rotation of the pipe drum with rotation of the brake disc, and a spooling assembly that includes a motor shaft, in which the spooling assembly ties rotation of the motor shaft with the rotation of the brake disc to enable the pipe deployment equipment to actively rotate the brake disc in a first direction to facilitate spooling the pipe segment off of the pipe drum, to actively rotate the brake disc in a second direction to facilitate spooling the pipe segment onto the pipe drum, or both.

Air hose retention system

The air hose retention device includes a first connector pivotally engaged to a top and an outer spool having a receiving area. A second side of a housing is rotatably engaged to a first side. A cable is wound on the outer spool. A spring is disposed in the receiving area. Pulling of the cable causes rotation of the second side in a first direction and the coiling of the spring. Movement of the cable towards the housing uncoils the spring winding the cable about the outer spool and rotating the second side in a second direction. The cable has a releasable connector which is engaged to a connector hose of a trailer. The air hose retention device may be easily disconnected from both a cab and a connector hose for storage or transportation in a cab of a truck during periods of nonuse.
