A cable drum for supplying energy to an electrically operated utility vehicle includes an axially extending winding body, a winding drive for rotatably driving the winding body for reeling-up or unreeling an electric line, a spacing means for segmenting a winding layer reeled-up onto the winding body, and an air conveying means for generating cooling air through a passage region. The cooling air flows outward of the interior of the winding body. The passage region is kept clear between adjacent segments of the winding layer.

A cradle apparatus and method for transporting and/or deploying a coil of pipe supported around a reel are disclosed. The cradle apparatus can include a first arm member and a second arm member each having a male segment and a female segment capable of telescopic movement. A first set of pipe reel engagement spools and a second set of pipe reel engagement spools can rotate to raise/lift a first flange and a second flange of the reel thereonto when the pipe reel is positioned between the first arm member and the second arm member and the proximal end and the distal end of the first arm member and the second arm member are brought closer together due to telescopic movement of the male and female segments.

A pipe deployment system that includes a vehicle or trailer. A coil of pipe couples to the vehicle or trailer. A rerounder system is supported by and couples to the vehicle or trailer. The rerounder system changes a cross-sectional shape of the pipe. The rerounder system rotates relative to the vehicle or trailer to facilitate loading of the coil, and un-loading of the product on the coil.

The present invention discloses various aspects of a cable reel trailer that uses the automotive force of a tractor or truck used to transport the trailer, a method of making same, and a method of using. The inclusion of a pivotally connected tongue that is pivotally connected to the main frame of the trailer overcomes many of the aforementioned problems with the prior art because there is no motor or hydraulic system necessary for lifting the cable reel securely on to the trailer. In accordance with the present invention, the towing automotive force, such as a truck, tractor or any other hauling vehicle, provides all the power for lifting the cable reel, rather than requiring a separate power source on the trailer for doing the heavy lifting. By locking up the wheel on the trailer with a wheel stop, the forward movement provided by a towing truck can concentrate on lifting the cable reel instead of moving the trailer forward. This means that no separate on-board power is needed for lifting the cable reel.

Provided is a cable laying method using a cable laying apparatus capable of changing a direction of a cable, the cable laying method including: (A) installing a frame unit; (B) arranging a trailer bogie loaded with a cable drum inside the frame unit without additional loading work; (C) rotating the cable drum, which is loaded in the trailer bogie, by an under roller part; (D) changing a withdrawal direction of a cable unwound from the cable drum by a traverse part of the frame unit; (E) supplying the cable, the withdrawal direction of which is changed by the traverse part, to a cable unwinding part located at the rear of the traverse part; and (F) supplying the cable passing through the cable unwinding part to a required place through a curvature guide part located at the rear of the cable unwinding part, wherein the traverse part is configured to change a direction of the cable withdrawn in a radial direction of the cable drum to an axial direction of the cable drum.

A cable reel includes an outer frame and a reel assembly. The reel assembly is installed on the outer frame. The reel assembly includes a left reel and a right reel. An inner bracket is arranged in the outer frame. The inner bracket includes a left bracket and a right bracket which are respectively connected with the left reel and the right reel. A telescopic cylinder for controlling the swing is arranged between the left bracket and the right bracket.

An elongated member pulling device including a support surface and a reel assembly for rotatably carrying a take-up reel about a first axis for receiving an elongated member, the reel assembly rotatably carried by the support surface about a second axis. A guide device including a plurality of rollers defining a closed geometry for guiding the elongated member toward the reel assembly. In response to the elongated member being guidingly received through the guide device and rotatably collected by the take-up reel, the reel assembly being selectably oscillatingly rotatable about the second axis to permit even winding of the elongated member on the take-up reel.

A hose nozzle test system having a housing with a plurality of hose nozzles therein. The housing has a first side for attachment of hoses to the hose nozzles and a second opposite side has openings which allow tips of the hose nozzles to extend out of the housing for the discharge of water. A diffuser may be attached rotatably to the second opposite side, allowing the diffuser to open and close to access the interior of the diffuser. A first portion of a trailer hitch is attached at a front end of the housing and a second portion of the trailer hitch is attached rotatably to the first portion so that the system can be rotated vertically for transportation by a vehicle or by an attachable wheel.
