A window covering system comprises a shell, a weight member, a covering material positioned between the shell and the weight member, a control device. The covering material comprises at least one ladder, multiple slats corresponding to the at least one ladder, and at least one lifting cord, wherein the lifting cord is connected between the shell and the weight member. The control device comprises a driving module, a releasing module, and an operation module that are connected to each other. The ladder is connected to the operation module, and the lifting cord is connected to the driving module, such that the operation module drives the ladder to tilt the slats, at the same time, the releasing module is driven by the operation module to remove restriction to the driving module, hence descending the weight member.

Tightening system with a tension control mechanism

A tightening system includes a housing and a spool situated within the housing. The spool is rotatable about an axis within the housing. An elongate tensioning element is rotatably linked to the spool and a tension control mechanism is operatively connected to the spool. The tension control mechanism is arranged to automatically move relative to the spool when tension in the tensioning element reaches a predetermined level, which, in turn, releases at least part of the tension in the tensioning element.

Reel based closure system

A reel based closure device includes a housing, a tension member, a spool that is rotatably positioned within the housing, and a tightening component that is positioned axially above the spool and that is operably coupled therewith so that an operation of the tightening component causes the spool to rotate within the housing to wind the tension member about the spool. The reel based closure device also includes a coupling component that is separate from the tension member and that frictionally engages with a distal end of the tension member so that the coupling component is removably fixed to the tension member. The spool component includes a coupling feature within which the coupling component is positioned to attach the tension member to the spool.

FASTENING DEVICE AND LACE TIGHTENING AND RELEASING METHOD

Disclosed is a bidirectional spool apparatus (BSA) and method of use. The BSA comprises a spool apparatus having a plurality of spools, a plurality of cables, and an adjustment knob. When the BSA is in a first mode, rotation of the adjustment knob causes a corresponding rotation of a first spool in a tightening direction and a tightening of a first cable but allows a second cable to rotate substantially freely, and such that when the BSA is in a second mode, rotation of the adjustment knob causes a corresponding rotation of a second spool in a tightening direction and a tightening of a second cable but allows a first cable to rotate substantially freely. Switching of the BSA from a first mode to a second mode and vice versa is accomplished by pulling the adjustment knob out a distance and by pushing the adjustment knob in a distance.
