A protective article of clothing for weight training comprising including a top adapted to be worn on an upper portion of an athlete. The top include a front surface and a rear surface, left and right arm openings and a head opening. An impact-resistant flexible collar is integrally attached to the top and is sized and positioned to substantially encircle the head opening. The collar is also configured to dampen an impact force to at least a portion of the athlete's shoulders, upper chest and upper back.

A protective article of clothing for weight training including bottoms adapted to be worn on a lower portion of an athlete. The bottoms have a front and a rear surface, a waist opening, and left and right leg portions, each with a foot opening. At least one impact-resistant flexible pad is integrally attached to the bottoms and is sized and positioned to substantially cover a zone of likely contact, including the athlete's shins, knees, thighs, hips, hip creases, shoulders, and upper back. The flexible pad dampens impact forces applied to the zones of likely contact.

A leggings apparatus is shown. The leggings are configured to be worn by a user without the need for the user to wear an undergarment. As such, the apparatus is equipped with a first gusset layer and a second gusset layer disposed in a crotch area of the apparatus to provide security and comfort to the user without panty-lines. The first gusset layer is made of a cotton-based fiber fabric, and is preferably treated with an anti-bacterial coating. The second gusset layer is positioned atop the first gusset layer, and is made of the same fabric as the remainder of the leggings. The gusset layers are heat welded into a fixed position within the crotch area, and are equipped with flat seams which appear invisible. Seams are flat to ensure comfort, as well as to minimize the appearance of the seams of the crotch area of the apparatus.

Aspects of the invention are directed to a garment for use by a wearer positioned on a ground surface. The garment comprises pants, a plurality of left pant patches, and a plurality of right pant patches. The pants have a left pant half and a right pant half. Each of the plurality of left pant patches overlies a respective portion of the left pant half, is elongate, and is characterized by a coefficient of static friction with the ground surface greater than that for the respective portion of the left pant half underlying it. Moreover, each of the plurality of right pant patches overlies a respective portion of the right pant half, is elongate, and is also characterized by a coefficient of static friction with the ground surface greater than that for the respective portion of the right pant half underlying it.

A base layer of a garment includes a waist section, an upper leg section, and a lower leg section. The waist section is positioned to correspond with and receive a waist and crotch region of a wearer. The waist section includes a base portion, a mesh portion, a compressive portion, and a durable portion. The upper leg section is positioned to correspond with and receive a thigh and knee region of the wearer. The upper leg section includes the base portion and the mesh portion. The lower leg section is positioned to correspond with and receive a shin and calf region of the wearer. The lower leg section includes the base portion and the compressive portion.

The pant of the present invention is specifically inspired and configured for use in the motor vehicle industry. The pant may be scratchless, meaning that the pant does not have any exposed features that are capable of scratching the finish on a motor vehicle. For example, the pant may comprise a concealed waistband closure mechanism. The pant may also comprise a scratchless security pocket, which is predisposed toward a closed position and thus does not require the use of buttons or the like. The pant may also be configured to provide enhanced mobility and comfort, allowing a wearer a range of movements without interference from his or her clothing. For example, the pant may be manufactured from a stretchable material and/or may comprise a waistband that is configured to stretch so as to provide increased mobility and comfort. The pant may also include an articulating, reinforcing knee feature, which provides additional strength to the knee portion of the pant while also providing for a more comfortable bend at the knee. Additionally, the pant may have reinforcement features, such as reinforced pockets or belt loops, which are particularly suitable for use by motor vehicle workers.

Making a control top garment includes forming a pocket bag from a first fused composite material and a second material, the first fused fabric composite having stretch and recovery properties in at least one direction thereof; and attaching the pocket bag to an garment by (i) attaching a first side of the pocket bag to a side of the garment; and (ii) attaching a second side of the pocket bag adjacent a connector of the garment.

The pant of the present invention is specifically inspired and configured for use in the motor vehicle industry. The pant may be scratchless, meaning that the pant does not have any exposed features that are capable of scratching the finish on a motor vehicle. A fashion accessory for protecting tee shirts from abrasion from buttons and/or seams of jeans formed from a front piece of fabric and a rear piece of fabric that are aligned and attached to each other. The fabric pieces are sewn together along their bottom edges, and along their side edges, but not as far as the top edge. A flap of fabric is formed in the front facing fabric. A buttonhole is formed into the flap. Snaps are positioned onto the flap and onto the rear piece of fabric. To employ, the device is tucked into the waistband of the pants up to the flap. The flap is folded down and the button of the jeans is inserted into the buttonhole of the flap. The top portion of the rear fabric is folded down over the flap. The snaps are snapped together securing the device.
