In some embodiments, a nursing garment may include a dress body having a front and a back. The dress body may include a neck opening, a left arm opening, a right arm opening, a legs opening, an upper placket, and a lower placket. The upper placket may include at least one buttonhole. The lower placket may include at least one button operable to couple with the at least one buttonhole. The dress body may further include a first zipper member coupled to either or the upper placket and the front. The dress body may further include a second zipper member coupled to the lower placket. The second zipper member may be operable to couple with the first zipper member. The upper placket and the lower placket may be separable to allow an infant to nurse.
Nursing garment with integral privacy flap for use while breastfeeding in public
A nursing garment has the outward appearance of a conventional women's top while including an integral privacy flap which allows for discrete and concealed breastfeeding even in public spaces. The nursing garment functions to provide a privacy flap that is integrally formed with the front of the garment and configurable between a normally worn configuration wherein the privacy flap forms the front outer layer of the garment and is affixed to the garment by invisible fasteners running along the side seams and nursing configuration wherein the front layer is deployed to form a privacy flap capable of concealing the breast and infant while breast feeding or utilizing a breast pump in pubic.

This nursing garment of the present invention in a way that others will not know that the mother is wearing clothing accessible for nursing. This has been done by using a magnetic closure on the strap of the garment. It can be utilized in a variety of ways by using different sizes and shaped magnets. The magnets can be placed either on the front of the garment, on the shoulder of the garment, or over the shoulder of the garment. The size, shape, and placement of the magnet can vary depending upon the style (for example-formal dress, tank top, maxi dress etc.) of the garment.

A thermal lactation garment includes a back panel, a front panel, and two sleeves of a thermally insulating fabric, having a neck opening, a torso opening, and two sleeve openings. The front panel has two apertures with moisture wicking fabric panels attached across the apertures. Closures detachably connect the moisture wicking fabric panels and the front panel above the apertures. The garment allows a mother to remain warm while breastfeeding by exposing only one breast, with the absorbent fabric panels absorbing and wicking moisture away to keep the mother dry.
