Surgical personal protection apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system includes a helmet over which a hood or a toga suspended. A microphone, an amplifier and a speaker are mounted to the helmet. Speech of the individual wearing the personal protection system is picked up by the microphone and amplified speech is broadcast by the speaker. The speaker is outwardly directed so as to broadcast the speech out through the hood or toga covering the helmet.
Wearable cooling system
A body cooling apparatus is configured for wear under an outer garment such as those worn by welders. The apparatus is constructed of cloth-covered air tubing which distributes a supply of received compressed air. The user wears the tubing harness much like a vest. When the harness is connected to a compressed air source, the compressed air is vented through the cloth-covered tubing to assist in cooling the user's body.
Lighting apparatus
A lighting apparatus for use as a surgical headlamp is disclosed. A light emitting diode is positioned in a recess within a frustoconical, thermally-conductive heat sink that has a several circumferential ridges to provide a desired surface area for heat transfer. The diode and the heat sink are provided in a housing that also includes a fan for drawing ambient air into the housing to contact the heat sink and exhausting heated air. A lens is snap-fit into a slide that frictionally engages the interior of the housing, allowing a user to adjust the spacing between the light emitting diode and the lens as desired. Personal cooling apparatuses usable with the lighting apparatus are also described. Auxiliary undergown switches are also described as are personal cooling apparatuses.
COOLING APPARATUS
The system comprises a cooling garment that is intended to cool the user of the garment. In one embodiment, the cooling garment is worn under a body armor. In one embodiment, the cooling garment is worn under any other garment or in any situation or environment where the user desires a cooling effect. In one embodiment the cooling garment comprises an outer layer and an inner layer. The inner layer has a plurality of perforations that allow air to flow therethrough. The outer layer is solid, so that air is urged toward the perforations and does not exit the garment away from the user, but instead towards the user. A flexible hose is coupled between the first and second layer and extends outward from the garment. The hose terminates in a quick release coupling that allows it to be removably attached to an air source, such as from a pump or other cooling system. In one embodiment, the quick release coupling is magnetic and is detached by pulling on the coupling or by the user of the cooling garment stepping away from the connection. In one embodiment, the system is used in a vehicle with a pump coupled to the electrical system of the vehicle.
COOLING APPARATUS
The system comprises a cooling garment that is intended to cool the user of the garment. In one embodiment, the cooling garment is worn under a tactical vest. In one embodiment, the quick release coupling is magnetic and is detached by pulling on the coupling or by the user of the cooling garment stepping away from the connection. In one embodiment, the system is used in a vehicle with a pump coupled to the electrical system of the vehicle.
Apparel thermo-regulatory system
Aspects herein are directed to an apparel thermo-regulatory system that actively heats or cools a wearer. The apparel thermo-regulatory system comprises an apparel item, a dimensionally stable frame comprising at least one aperture that is affixed to an outer-facing surface of the apparel item at a predetermined location, an absorbent material applied to an exposed face of the dimensionally stable frame, and at least one thermoelectric module that is releasably positioned within the aperture of the dimensionally stable frame.
ACTIVE BREATHING SYSTEM
The present invention relates for an active breathing system for an aseptic overalls arranged to be worn by a user, comprising an aeration device and an air inlet means, said active breathing system further comprising an aseptic overalls for a cleanroom and possibly an underclothing.
GARMENT
A garment includes a blower device having an inlet and an outlet, an outer fabric, and an inner fabric attached to the outer fabric. The outer fabric has a mounting part to which the blower device is removably mountable in a state in which the inlet is disposed on an outer side of the outer fabric and the outlet is disposed on the inner fabric side of the outer fabric. The internal space is formed between the outer fabric and the inner fabric. The internal space is configured such that, when the garment is not worn and the blower device delivers the ambient air into the internal space at an air volume Q (cubic meter per minute: m.sup.3/min), the air volume Q and an internal pressure P (pascal: Pa) of the internal space satisfy a relationship of P1.1Q.sup.2.
AUTONOMOUS COOLING VEST
An autonomous cooling vest to cool its user by evaporating a coolant in contact with the user's skin surface is described. Multifunctional panels attached to the vest in the parts corresponding to the human body are permeable to ambient air and contain a liquid retaining screen kept in contact with the user's skin. The cooling support system automatically controls the transfer of the coolant liquid contained in a reservoir to each screen and allows the user to adjust the operation of the system to activate and deactivate the ventilation on the liquid retained in the screens and adjust the amount of liquid dispersed over the screens as needed. The flow of air ventilated by the fans and the air that permeates through the referred multifunctional panels favor the evaporation of the liquid retained in the screens, promoting the user's cooling.
Self-contained air distribution system
A self-contained portable air distribution system for cooling an individual by the movement of intake and exhaust air flow streams over an individual. The system includes a portable rechargeable battery operated fan that produces both an inlet intake and outlet exhaust air flow streams that provides a cooling effect by evaporating body moisture as it passes over the body.
