Protective Headgear
A protective headgear includes two air chambers connected through a fan. Each air chamber has a fabric filter with a large surface area. A frame with a fan compartment and headband engages a person's head and forms a boundary to air flow around the head between the two air chambers. Air flows between the two air chambers primarily through the fan. One air chamber is formed above the head and is at lower pressure than air outside the headgear. Another air chamber is formed around the face and is at higher pressure than air outside the headgear. The fan draws air through a fabric filter to provide filtered air into the air chamber around the face, providing breathing volume and positive pressure protection. Exhaled air dissipates out of the headgear through a fabric filter forming part of the air chamber around the face.
Apparel Thermo-Regulatory System
Aspects herein are directed to an apparel thermo-regulatory system that actively heats or cools a wearer. The apparel thermo-regulatory system comprises an apparel item, a dimensionally stable frame comprising at least one aperture that is affixed to an outer-facing surface of the apparel item at a predetermined location, an absorbent material applied to an exposed face of the dimensionally stable frame, and at least one thermoelectric module that is releasably positioned within the aperture of the dimensionally stable frame.
GARMENT
To provide a garment capable of suppressing a stuffy feeling and a hot feeling in the garment regardless of the presence or absence of air blowing from a blower fan, maintaining a comfortable environment in the garment, and having excellent wearing comfort, the garment includes a fabric mainly formed of hygroscopic fibers as constituent fibers, the fabric having air permeability of 45 cm.sup.3/cm.sup.2/s or less; and at least one air inlet for taking outside air into the garment.
GARMENT BODY FOR FAN-EQUIPPED GARMENT, AND FAN-EQUIPPED GARMENT
A garment body of a fan-equipped garment includes a fan mount hole for mounting a fan, a front fabric made of a material having no breathability or having a certain level of breathability to be inflated with air introduced by the fan, and a heat insulation layer disposed on a back side of the front fabric and made of a material that holds air.
NECKLACE-TYPE FAN
A necklace-type fan includes: a necklace part which has a curved tube shape, and has a plurality of wind blowing holes formed in a longitudinal direction of the necklace part; a wind generation part which has an interior being in communication with the necklace part, and has a fan installed to pump the wind into the necklace part; and a control unit which adjusts a rotational speed of the fan, wherein the wind introduced through the wind generation part is discharged through the wind blowing holes while being changed in intensity by the control unit.
SYSTEM AND GARMENT FOR MINIMIZING CLEAN ENVIRONMENT CONTAMINATION
Garments and corresponding systems for preventing contamination of a clean environment are provided. The garment is formed, at least in part, of a filter medium such that air within the garment is permitted to pass from within the garment, through the filter medium, and into the surrounding environment while contaminants are retained by the filter medium. The garment may be substantially formed of the filter medium or may include one or more filter panels arranged around a substantially impermeable portion of the garment. The garment may further include a forced air inlet for coupling the garment to a forced air supply such as a powered respirator or an air handler. Forced air may then be supplied into the garment to further facilitate air circulation and filtration.
Surgical personal protection apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system may include a head unit over which surgical garment such as a hood or a toga may be suspended over. The surgical garment may include a sterile material and a shield configured to be disposed in front of the wearers face when disposed over the head unit. The shield may comprise an anti-reflective coating configured to reduce the glare observed by the individual through said shield. The head unit may comprises a light assembly that is disposed on the wearers side of the surgical garment, and an inner surface of said surgical garment may comprise a light reflective material configured to reduce the amount of light emitted from said light assembly that is reflected back toward the individual.
Air distribution system for individual cooling
A portable, adjustable, and flexible waist mounted, self-contained air distribution system for an individual which can distribute pressurized air over the upper or lower body of an individual, directly against the skin or the clothing of the individual, the system including a portable rechargeable battery operated blower fan in communication with a plenum and manifold, the manifold having a primary adjustable and flexible exhaust outlet openings that spreads, throws and disburses a pressurized air flow selectively over the upper or lower body of an individual, thereby allowing air to selectively provide a cooling and evaporate effect.
AIR BLOWING DEVICE
An air circulator which is attached to a sheet member and which is for generating an air flow from one side of the sheet member to another side of the sheet member includes a fan main body and a ring member for attaching the fan main body to the sheet member. The fan main body includes a hollow cylinder unit, a flange formed on the cylinder unit, a motor fixing unit, a motor fixated to the motor fixing unit, a wing attached to a rotating shaft of the motor and first engaging units formed on outer surfaces of first parts of the cylinder unit, the first parts forming a pair and facing each other. The ring member includes second engaging units which are formed on inner surfaces of second parts that form a pair, the second parts facing each other, and which engage with the first engaging units.
VENTILATED GARMENT
A ventilated garment is configured to be supported on a wearer to provide ventilation to a body part of the wearer. The garment can include an air flow guide that is defined by inner and outer panels. A blower is positioned in the air flow guide to draw air in through an intake and discharge the air through an outlet of the guide. The guide can be arranged on the garment so the intake is adjacent the base of the back of the wearer and the outlet is adjacent the neck. The garment can include a support cushion in operative alignment with the blower to cushion the body part from the blower when the blower is pressed between the body part and a support surface.
