A surgical protection system to define a barrier between the user and the external environment. The surgical protection system comprising a helmet assembly, a hood and a transparent face shield. The helmet including a shell, a face frame coupled to the shell, a static tab, a first fastener disposed on the face frame; and a fan mounted to the shell and configured to circulate air about the user. The hood may include a first material defining an opening. The shield may be formed from flexible material and disposed within the opening of the hood. The shield may further include a tab extending from a top portion of the shield and define an opening configured to receive the static tab of the helmet to align the shield to the helmet. The first fastener disposed on the face frame may be configured to facilitate removable attachment of the shield to the helmet.

PPE WITH ROTATING ASSEMBLY PROVIDING MULTIPLE FACE COVERS
20230098626 · 2023-03-30 ·

A personal protective device (PPE) comprising a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. This rotating face cover assembly has a plurality of different mask sides, each with differing geometries or other properties. The device enables a user to rotate (either manually or by electric motor) the masks and select a given mask side that best meets that user's needs. The different mask sides can accommodate different facial geometries, eyewear types, and use cases, such as operation in more hostile environments. Features to improve user comfort, including alternate bodysuit designs, moisture reduction, and cooling are disclosed.

LIGHTING APPARATUS

A lighting apparatus for use as a surgical headlamp is disclosed. A light emitting diode is positioned in a recess within a frustoconical, thermally-conductive heat sink that has a several circumferential ridges to provide a desired surface area for heat transfer. The diode and the heat sink are provided in a housing that also includes a fan for drawing ambient air into the housing to contact the heat sink and exhausting heated air. A lens is snap-fit into a slide that frictionally engages the interior of the housing, allowing a user to adjust the spacing between the light emitting diode and the lens as desired. Personal cooling apparatuses usable with the lighting apparatus are also described. Auxiliary undergown switches are also described as are personal cooling apparatuses.

Active breathing system

20230364449 · 2023-11-16 ·

Disclosed is a re-usable an integrated wearable suit (100) including battery powered ventilation for providing protective shield with complete safety from viral and bacterial loads, and a transparent head shield (102), a microphone (116) with dual speakers (118) for peer communication, a microsensor (107) for filter clogging sensing, alarm display device and amplifier connected to re-chargeable battery backup (108), a torso (120) including chain covered with a sealable flap facilitating the opening and closing of the kit, a lower body part (136) extending from mid hip to ankle and shaped for movement comfort of both legs and bending and sitting freedom, a pair of shoes covers (138) with a gripped bottom (140), with earthed anti-static and low voltage safety and a plurality of restricted one way air outlets (142).

Fan device, fan-equipped garment, and recording medium

A fan device that can be attached to a garment body includes a fan, a drive, an operation interface, and a controller. The drive rotates the fan. The operation interface is for a user to switch drive status of the drive. The controller switches the drive status of the drive based on operation on the operation interface by the user. The operation interface includes a first switch and a second switch. The first switch is for switching an air volume of the fan between air volumes of multiple modes. The second switch is for switching a mode to a first mode in which the air volume of the fan is a first air volume which is larger than air volumes that are switched by the first switch.

Air-conditioning garment

An air-conditioning garment includes a garment main part that is worn on the upper body of a wearer, and two fans that are attached to a lower part of a back part of a garment main part, and configured to feed outside air into the inside of the garment main part. Each of the two fans includes a fan main body and a case that houses the fan main body and includes two air outlets. The two air outlets are formed so that their blowing directions are restricted to being upward or obliquely upward. The two air outlets are formed in such a manner that their blowing directions have an upwardly-opened V-shape.
