Apparel with Selectively Attachable and Detachable Elements
An article of apparel has a surface with a first part of a fastening system, and an attachment element has an outer area with a second part of the fastening system. The first part of the fastening system is joinable to the second part of the fastening system to attach the attachment element to the apparel. The first part of the fastening system is also separable from the second part of the fastening system to separate the attachment element from the apparel. The attachment element may be formed from a polymer foam material, may include a fluid-filled chamber, or may incorporate an electronic device, for example. In some configurations, the attachment element is secured to an exterior of the apparel. In other configurations, the attachment element is secured between two layers of the apparel.
SPORTS SHOULDER PADS WITH HYBRID FOAM BODY PAD
A shoulder pad assembly has main body cushions consisting of a plurality of different types of foam material joined together to result in a hybrid pad structure constructed from slow-response foam and open-cell foam. A main body cushion is constructed from a first sheet or panel of slow response foam disposed over the torso of the wearer, a second sheet or panel of slow-response foam disposed over the back of the wearer, joined together by a third sheet or panel of open-cell foam positioned between the first sheet and second sheet, disposed over the wearer's shoulder. Optionally, a fourth sheet or pad of slow-response foam is disposed on the third sheet, disposed over the wearer's shoulder, preferably at the location that is most likely to suffer blows during football play. Optionally, a fifth sheet or pad of open-cell foam is disposed on the first sheet, on the side of the first sheet in contact with the wearer and a sixth sheet or pad of open-cell foam is disposed on the second sheet.
Footwear impact distribution
An article of footwear includes a footwear portion including a core including a plurality of plates. A first one of the plurality of plates is hingedly attached, at one or more edges of the first plate, to one or more substantially adjacent other plates in the plurality of plates. Each hinge hingedly attaching an edge of the first plate to another plate joins less than the entire respective hingedly attached edge to a corresponding one of the one or more substantially adjacent other plates and is integrally connected to the first plate.
ANATOMICALLY DYNAMIC AND ERGONOMIC LEG GUARD
A leg guard includes an anterior shin protective panel positioned to cover at least a portion of a user's anterior shin region, a lateral protective panel positioned to cover at least a portion of the user's lateral lower leg region, and a medial protective panel positioned to cover at least a portion of the user's medial lower leg region. The panels are mounted on one or more flexible liners in a vertically segmented orientation to articulate with respect to one another. Additional protective panels may be included to protect a user's knee, thigh, or foot. A strap for a leg guard may include a buckle having a protrusion positioned to engage an elongated opening in the leg guard. The strap may bias the buckle into a tilted position, while raised surfaces near the elongated opening resist release or rotation of the buckle.
PERSONAL PROTECTION GUARD
A personal protection guard having a guard portion and mounting portion. The guard portion has a hard shell and resilient inner. pad. The inner pad includes, a padding layer and an exterior facing fastening layer having a mass of fastening loops. The mounting strip has an adhesive strip layer and an engaging member having a hook layer that cooperates with the mass of fastening loops for attaching the guard portion to the mounting portion. The adhesive strip layer includes a removable release layer that when removed exposes the adhesive substance upon the adhesiver strip layer, for attaching the mounting strip to a portion of a person use of the personal protection guard. The guard portion may also include elastic mounting straps coupled to the opposite side of the shell.
WEARABLE PROTECTIVE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
An apparatus is disclosed, having an attachment mechanism for attaching a base material to a body part of a wearer. The apparatus further includes a padding layer overlaying the base material, and a plurality of scales. Each scale of the plurality of scales is independently attached to the padding layer, each scale either at least partially overlapping or at least partially underlying one or more adjacent scales to enable flexible adherence to a shape of the body part of the wearer.
PADDED LIMB COMPRESSION SLEEVE
A compression based foundation having strategically paced padding to guard against the types of injuries most usually sustained during obstacle course racing is provided. Also provided is an energy supplement storage garment where energy supplements are within easy reach during active racing conditions.
LEG GUARD
The present disclosure provides a leg guard having a toe guard, a shin guard, a knee guard including an extended kneecap wrap, a thigh guard, and an interlocking hinge. The interlocking hinge helps prevent an opening from forming between the thigh guard and the knee guard during play and prevents the leg guard from moving or rotating about the user's leg during movement. The leg guard also includes a slider assembly attached to the thigh guard that allows for the cushion pad to remain fixed against the thigh of the user while only the cover shell slides up and down the leg as the user assumes any one of a plurality of positions.

Protective articles having a plurality of core members
An outsole with a conformable substrate with a depression and a core inset in the depression. The core includes a plurality of plates, a first one of the plates is hingedly attached, at one or more edges of the first plate, to one or more substantially adjacent other plates in the plurality of plates, where each hinge hingedly attaching an edge of the first plate to another plate joins less than the entire respective hingedly attached edge to a corresponding one of the one or more substantially adjacent other plates and is integrally connected to the first plate and the other plate. The hinges attaching edges of the first plate to other plates disperse impact forces from the first plate to a corresponding one of the other plates, and a subset of the plurality of plates in the core form a row of three or more interconnected plates.
