Diffuser assembly
A diffuser assembly includes a flexible diffuser membrane and a diffuser body. The flexible diffuser membrane defines a perimeter edge bead along four edges. The diffuser body defines an underlying body portion underlying the flexible diffuser membrane, and a perimeter edge frame covering a covered portion of the perimeter edge bead. The edge frame defines an inside surface that conforms to an outside shape of the covered portion of the perimeter edge bead. The perimeter edge frame is integral to the underlying body portion.
Aerating lance assembly and aeration tank incorporating same
The present invention relates to the field of fluid aeration and, in particular, fluid aeration in a tank of the type having a fluid aerator or aerators requiring removal for cleaning and/or maintenance. The aeration tank of the present invention may be a Moving Bed Bioreactor or Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) tank forming part of an MBBR wastewater treatment system, although the aeration tank of the present invention may also have utility in other applications. The invention further relates to an aerating lance assembly for use in an aeration tank.
Mixing systems and methods of mixing
A system for mixing and mixing processes and structures are disclosed. In addition a nozzle used for mixing is disclosed.
SPARGER ASSEMBLIES FOR A BIOPROCESSING SYSTEM
A sparger assembly for a bioprocessing system includes a base and a plurality of spargers connected to the base, each sparger including a plurality of pores, the plurality of spargers each have a generally cylindrical shape. Each of the plurality of spargers includes a sidewall and a top, which define the cylindrical shape, the sidewall and the top each include a plurality of pores. The pores of the sidewall can be arranged around a circumference of the sidewall at an array of heights. Ridges may also be located on the sidewall above a respective array of pores.
WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM WITH RETRIEVABLE MOUNTING FRAME ASSEMBLY FOR DIFFUSORS
A wall-mounted, retrievable diffusor system for aerating water in a tank includes a guide rail assembly mounted to a tank wall and extending from the tank floor to an upper edge of the wall; a retrievable mounting frame assembly releasably mounted on the guide rail assembly; and a plurality of aeration elements secured to the retrievable mounting frame assembly. The retrievable diffusor system is configured to be raised or lowered into or out of the tank either manually or via a motorized winch. In one aspect, the diffusor system includes guide rollers for guiding the mounting frame along a central guide rail. Swivel rollers engage the central guide rail and enable the mounting frame to be pivoted out of a position perpendicular to the tank wall and into a position over a platform of the tank for maintenance or replacement of the aeration elements when the frame is pulled from the tank.
MODULAR DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR INFUSING GAS INTO A LIQUID AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides modular devices and systems for infusing gas into a liquid and methods of manufacture and use thereof. In accordance with an embodiment, a modular device for infusing gas into a liquid is provided. The modular device comprises a plurality of microporous hollow fibers, and a cap covering open ends of the microporous hollow fibers. The cap is configured to receive a gas into an opening and to deliver the gas into the open ends of the microporous hollow fibers. The cap is further configured to removably mount the modular device to a fixture. A system for infusing gas into a liquid may include one or more of the modular gas infusion devices configured to be removably mounted to a fixture such that the microporous hollow fibers are within a hollow cavity. The hollow cavity includes a first opening configured to receive a liquid and a second opening configured to discharge the liquid infused with a gas. Because the system is modular, it is economical to manufacture, scale to different application requirements and to maintain.
MICROBUBBLE GENERATION DEVICE
A microbubble generation device comprises a liquid inlet (101), a gas inlet (104), a bubble flow outlet (103), and a gas-liquid mixing chamber (102). An air-permeable hole having an angle structure is provided at a gas-liquid interface of the gas-liquid mixing chamber (102), and a pointed end of the angle structure of the air-permeable hole points to a liquid flow direction. The bubbles generated by the device are extremely small in diameter, prolonging a duration the bubbles stay in the liquid phase, and enhancing gas-liquid mass transfer efficiency.
