Body Protection
20180153237 · 2018-06-07 · ·

This invention relates to a structure for absorption and/or dissipation of mechanical shocks comprising: connectors forming an aerated base with a base surface; protuberances, each of the protuberances comprising a central axis along which it extends from the aerated base, the central axis being normal to the base surface, two adjacent protuberances being connected to each other by a connector.

It also relates to a body protector at least partly made using the structure and protective clothing comprising at least one such protector.

Knee Pad Device
20180132549 · 2018-05-17 ·

A knee pad for engagement to a user in an as-worn position with a cavity defined by an interior surface surrounding a knee of a user. A plurality of projections extend from the body of the knee pad and are made of compressible material to provide a cushioned support to the knees and prevent rolling of the knee pad during use.

Impact absorbing pad for garment

An impact absorbing pad includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer has a first body-facing surface configured to be positioned adjacent a garment and a first outer surface opposite the first body-facing surface. The first layer comprises a first foam having a first density. The first layer defines a first plurality of voids that extend through the first layer at a first plurality of positions. The second layer has a second body-facing surface positioned adjacent the first outer surface of the first layer and a second outer surface opposite the second body-facing surface. The second layer comprises a second foam having a second density that is different than the first density. The second layer defines a second plurality of voids that extend through the second layer at a second plurality of positions. Portions of the first outer surface of the first layer are visible through the second plurality of voids of the second layer.

KNEE BRACE
20240365892 · 2024-11-07 ·

A knee brace including upper frame member for being fastened to upper part of user's leg, and lower frame member for being fastened to lower part of the user's leg. The upper frame member and the lower frame member are pivotally connected to each other by means of at least one articulation hinge. The knee brace also includes a patella protecting device positioned between the upper frame member and the lower frame member. The patella protecting device includes a protecting cup coupled to said at least one articulation hinge and designed to be positioned over the patella of the user. The patella protecting device further includes an elastomeric protecting element extending between the upper frame member and the lower frame member and operatively coupled to the protecting cup.

Goggle facial cushion
09918501 · 2018-03-20 · ·

A facial cushion for a goggle may have a plurality of layers which provide cushioning, cooling and ergonomic fit functions. The top layer which contacts the wearer's face may have an embossed pattern which creates an air space between the wearer's face and the top layer for providing a cooling function. The embossed top layer also increases the total surface area of the top layer thereby increasing its wicking ability and reduces the total skin contact surface area of the top layer reducing heat. Additionally, the cushion may be thicker at left and right end portions to maintain contact with the wearer's face despite pulling of the left and right ends of the goggle when the goggle is worn with a helmet.

Protective padding layer
09907343 · 2018-03-06 · ·

A flexible padding layer for use during competitive sports is provided. The flexible padding layer is comprised of a plurality of individual padding elements each joined on multiple sides with an adjacent padding element via a thin, connecting section. Each padding element further comprises openings and a three-dimensional surface configuration to allow for consistent mechanical properties throughout the padding layer as a whole.

FLEXIBLE MODULAR ABSORPTION PANEL AND BLOCK FOR PRODUCING SUCH A PANEL
20180055102 · 2018-03-01 ·

Disclosed is a panel that is produced by assembling a plurality of adjacent individual absorption blocks; each block in the panel is in the shape of a polyhedral pyramid frustum, of which the base is a regular six-sided polygon; each individual block including six lateral walls surrounded by a lower peripheral lip of which each section is provided with a complementary tenon or a mortise arranged so as to allow two adjacent individual blocks to be assembled, in particular by engagement, in the vertical direction, of a tenon and a mortise belonging respectively to one and the other of the two adjacent individual blocks.

Safe Air Head, Face, and Body Gear
20180055103 · 2018-03-01 ·

Different safety gear for the head, face, and body are disclosed with an outer shell made of a flexible antiballistics material or aramid fiber based fabric, an inflatable chamber adjacent to or integrated into the outer shell, a valve coupled to the inflatable chamber, and energy absorbing structures. The inflatable chamber extends across the outer shell and provides a first layer protecting the wearer from impact energy. The inflatable chamber has an internal cavity that expands in response to injection of air or liquid through the valve. The energy absorbing structures provide a second layer supplementing the first layer of the inflatable chamber protecting the wearer from the impact energy. The energy absorbing structures are compressible bars, tubes, rods, or ribs or rubber or high-density polyurethane foam extending against the inflatable chamber and compressing in response to the impact energy transferring from the outer shell or the inflatable chamber.

HEADBAND WITH IMPACT PROTECTION
