WEARABLE AIRBAG DEVICE
A wearable airbag device is configured to protect a targeted body part of a wearer, and includes an airbag configured to inflate to cover the targeted body part by allowing an inflation gas to flow thereinto. The airbag has a plurality of columnar inflation portions in which width dimensions are set to be smaller than that of the targeted body part, and configured to maintain an arranged state of the columnar inflation portions when the inflation is completed, and to protect the targeted body part.

Protective belt apparatus
A belt apparatus is configured to support the trousers worn by a person and to include a number of airbags that are deployable in a falling event to protect the person from bone breakages. The belt apparatus includes a flexible belt element and a fastener that appear and function in much the same way as an ordinary trouser belt, i.e., fitting through belt loops in trousers and being fastenable to itself to support the pair of trousers at the waist of the user. Despite the ordinary appearance of the belt apparatus, it includes one or more airbags internal thereto whose expansion is controlled by a control apparatus. Responsive to a falling event in a particular direction with respect to the user, the control apparatus triggers the rapid expansion of an airbag that is situated on the belt element in the particular direction with respect to the user.

Energy dissipative cushioning elements
An apparatus, method, computer program product, and/or system are described that determine an event, actuate a cushioning element in response to the determining the event, the cushioning element including one or more tension-bearing members, and dissipate at least some of an energy associated with a collision based on deforming at least one of the tension-bearing members during the collision, the deforming including substantially inelastically stretching the at least one of the tension-bearing members. Other example embodiments are also provided relating to actuatable cushioning elements.

INFLATABLE MOTORCYCLE OUTFIT
This disclosure relates to a system and method for an inflatable motorcycle outfit. The system comprises an inflatable trouser, an inflatable jacket, a pair of inflatable boots, one or more inflatable canopies. The system is flat when worn by the rider, resembling ordinary clothing and inflates in the event of a motorcycle accident. The system reduces the speed of a rider when the inflatable canopies are deployed by inflation, thus reducing the overall impact force the rider is facing in an accident situation. The system offers impact reducing protection for the rider by having a barrier of inflatable air tunnel structures inside or outside the outfit that absorbs impact energy in an accident situation when inflated. The air tunnel shells and the outfit are made from material with abrasion resistant, heat resistant, and/or stretchable properties.

WEARABLE AIRBAG DEVICE
A wearable airbag device for protecting the hip of a wearer includes an airbag adapted to be worn around the pelvis and inflatable with an inflation gas. The airbag includes: an inner wall configured to face the wearer at airbag deployment; an outer wall opposite the inner wall and having a circumferential edge jointed with that of the inner wall so that the airbag has a substantially board shape when inflated; a contact portion disposed in an upper reach of a stream of inflation gas and configured to be deployed at a side of the pelvis; a protecting portion configured to be deployed in such a manner as to extend downward from the contact portion for covering an outer side of the trochanter of femur at airbag deployment; and a float-preventing means for preventing the protecting portion from floating away from the body of the wearer at airbag deployment.
