A burp cloth and bib combination may include an hourglass-shaped material, the hourglass-shaped material having a top portion, a bottom portion, and a center, a water-resistant backing secured to one side of the hourglass-shaped material, and a neck strap secured at the center of the hourglass-shaped material, the neck strap having a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end of the neck strap may be secured to each other on the side of the hourglass-shaped material secured to the water-resistant backing in a burp cloth form. The hourglass-shaped material and the water-resistant backing may be folded at the center and the neck strap may be secured around a neck of a child in a bib form. The combination may include at least one pocket secured to the hourglass-shaped material that may be lined with a water-resistant material.

There is provided an apron according to one aspect. The apron includes a bib having a top and spaced-apart sides. The apron includes a first strap having a pair of spaced-apart ends which couple to and extend outwards from the top of the bib. The apron includes a second strap which couples to and extends between the sides of the bib. The apron includes a coupling member positioned between the sides of the bib. The coupling member slidably couples together the first strap and the second strap. There is further provided a tie-free apron according to yet another aspect. The apron includes a bib having a top and spaced-apart sides. The apron includes a self-adjusting strap load equalizing system. The self-adjusting strap load equalizing system includes a neck-yoke strap, a back strap, and a coupling member which slidably couples together the straps.

A bib having a first layer of a filmic impermeable material on a front of the bib having a first body portion and upwardly extending flaps, a third layer of filmic impermeable material on a rear of the bib, where the first and third layers are joined at their perimeter edges, forming a shallow cavity. The bib has a neck ring. Below the neck ring, the shallow cavity has a top horizontal opening and a bottom horizontal opening in the first body portion. A second layer, which is an absorbent material, shaped into an adjustable loop, loops through the openings, the shallow cavity, and down the front of the bib. When the outer section of the loop becomes soiled, the soiled section can be rotated into the shallow cavity, simultaneously exposing an unsoiled section of the loop, providing a refreshed unsoiled outer section.
