Discrete shoulder sleeve for a shoulder-pad system
A shoulder-pad system includes various components, including a set of shoulder pads that comprises a right-shoulder pad assembly, a left-shoulder pad assembly, an anterior plate, and a posterior plate. Each shoulder-pad assembly may include an epaulette and a discrete shoulder sleeve that is releasably attachable to the epaulette. The discrete shoulder sleeve may further include an epaulette attachment mechanism that releasable attaches the discrete shoulder sleeve to the epaulette when the epaulette is positioned within the cavity.
PROTECTIVE ARTICLES AND METHODS THEREOF
Disclosed herein are wearable articles and methods for the manufacture and use thereof. The wearable articles can comprise compression elements, gripping elements, and support elements containing a rate-sensitive material which can operate to prevent injury.
PROTECTIVE SUIT
The present invention relates to a protective upper and lower body assemblies and protective suit comprising the same. The protective upper body assembly comprises a ventral and a dorsal padding panels, a left and a right shoulder fasteners, and a left and a right flank fasteners. Each of the ventral and the dorsal padding panels include at least two layers of resiliently compressible material and one layer of breathable material. The protective lower assembly comprises a left and a right upper thigh portions, a left and a right lower thigh portions, a left and a right knee shells, a left and a right lower leg portions, and a left and a right feet shells.
Head and neck support
Example implementations relate to providing head and neck support. An example system includes a helmet, a load bearing harness, and a flexible extension coupled between the helmet and the load bearing harness. An activation of a magnetic field proximate the flexible extension causes a ferromagnetic infused medium to transition from a fluid state to a substantially rigid state causing the flexible extension to transition from a flexible state to a rigid state. When the flexible extension is in the rigid state, force applied to the helmet transfers through the flexible extension to the load bearing harness. The system further includes a sensor configured to detect an event. Particularly, the sensor causes the activation of the magnetic field proximate the flexible extension in response to detecting the event.
Head Protection Helmet Assembly
An improved head protection helmet assembly includes a helmet and a torso subassembly that is either a support vest or a shoulder pad subassembly. The helmet and torso subassembly are attached together in a way the helmet cannot move relative to the torso subassembly. A force applied to the helmet is transferred to the torso subassembly. The head of a person using the head protection helmet assembly can be moved inside, and relative to, the helmet. The head protection helmet assembly can also include front and rear body plates attached to the torso subassembly to reduce movement of the torso subassembly and the helmet.
Golf garment with shoulder joint support
A golf garment for reinforcing a connection between a body and an arm has a shoulder joint support which fills a gap between the upper arm and the body at a golf posture, thereby enhancing a swing mechanism and reducing a possible injury. The shoulder joint support also mitigates the concentration of shock on the shoulder and thus the risk of injury is further reduced. Although designed specifically for golf, the present invention can be also effective for sports requiring a firm, yet tensionless connection of the arm to the body, such as tennis, hockey and baseball.
PARTICULATE PROTECTIVE ARTICLES
Apparatuses and associated methods of manufacturing are described that provide a particulate protective article. An example particulate protective article includes one or more structural sections that are formed of a primary material and one or more protective sections connected with the one or more structural sections so as to form an article of clothing. Each protective section is formed of a particulate blocking or filtering material. In an instance in which the article is worn by a user, the one or more protective sections shield one or more corresponding areas of the user's superficial lymphatic system from particulate matter. In some embodiments, the article is formed as a shirt so as to shield the torso, armpits, and/or neck of the user. In other embodiments, the article is formed as an undergarment so as to shield the groin, lower abdomen, and/or buttocks of the user.
Multi-layered protective covering and uses thereof
Provided herein are multi-layered protective coverings, wearable multi-layered protective devices, and methods of using the multi-layered protective coverings and wearable multi-layered protective devices.
Anti-concussion collar assembly and method of use
An anti-concussion helmet attachment collar assembly includes a cowl body attached to a curved helmet attachment ring segment at its upper end, and to a cowl support ring at its lower end. A circular rolling element bearing is interposed between the bottom of the cowl support ring and the interior shoulder of an underlying central ring, facilitating rotation of the cowl support ring with respect to the central ring. A modified helmet incorporates a flange with keyhole openings coupleable with standoff rivets on the helmet attachment ring segment. A base attached to equipment, such as football shoulder pads, is configured to selectively couple with the central ring during use.
Shoulder sling and pillow system
A shoulder sling and pillow system that will house a beverage and a cellphone. The system is designed to ergonomically fit around the waist of a user and the system will also allow a cellphone to be charged. The system will use removable straps that will attach to the foam pillow and to the brace of the shoulder sling and pillow system.
