BODY ARMOUR
Described is a body armour for women. The body armour has a plate with preformed breast and sternum portions which conform to the breasts and sternum of a female body. At least part of the plate is made from a pliable material that moulds to the shape of a user's body and absorbs impact energy from an object.
CLOTHING
To make available clothing that supports the wearer's muscles to enable capacity for and flexibility in movement to be improved in situations such as during sports, during heavy lifting, or being under nursing care. Clothing involving the present invention is furnished with an upper-body piece for covering at least a portion of the upper half of the body, and an upper-body support unit formed on the upper-body piece. The upper-body support unit includes an upper-body first support section situated in sites following at least a portion of the psoas major muscles an upper-body second support section situated in sites following the supraspinatus muscles, and an upper-body third support section situated in sites following the teres major muscles.
Wearable impact protection and force channeling device
A wearable impact protection and force channeling device operable to transfer force received via impact from a head of the user to a body of the user, thereby utilizing an entire mass of the user to lessen rapid momentum change of the head.
Personal Protective Devices With Carrying Bags
Personal protective devices have a carrying bag, such as a purse, and a separate bullet resistant vest or penetration resistant (to stab wounds) vest comprises at least one neck sling and at least one torso strap. The bullet/penetration resistant vest is dimensioned to removably fit within the carrying bag. The carrying bags are configured to provide a ready state wherein a bullet resistant shield and neck sling are within the carrying bag while at least a connector attached to the end of a deployable torso strap(s) is outside of the carrying bag. The carrying bag has at least one slot designed to allow the torso strap(s) to be pre-fed from the interior of the carrying bag to a position exterior of the carrying bag. In this ready state, the majority of the torso strap is maintained within the interior of the carrying bag. The neck sling and torso straps are deployable to secure the vest to a wearer's torso in the deployed position.
Apparatuses, systems and methods for equipment for protecting the human body by absorbing and dissipating forces imparted to the body
The disclosed apparatus, system and method includes at least a protective garment that prevents concussive effects on internal organs. The garment many include a garment body; and, embedded in the garment body, at least one multi-sectional pad. At least two of the multi-sections may comprise: at least one aramid layer; at least one multi-durometer foam layer having a substantially similar surface area to that provided by the at least one aramid layer; and at least one shield layer.
WHOLE-BODY INFLATABLE AIRBAG SYSTEM WITH PNEUMATIC LOWER BODY GARMENT
In one example, a system includes an airbag inflating system, a control system operably coupled to the airbag inflating system, and a pair of pants and/or other lower-body garments that include one or more airbags configured to be removably coupled to the airbag inflating system. The airbag inflating system can be operated manually by the user, and/or automatically based on input from one or more sensors. The airbags may be inflated by a compressed gas, or by a flow of air from a mechanism such as a fan.
Dual-layered apparel system
The present disclosure describes an apparel system for an upper torso of a wearer. The apparel system may comprise a first layer of a breathable fabric and a water resistant second layer. The second layer may be stowed in a pocket located on the front of the first layer. The second layer may be transitioned from within the pocket to cover at least a portion of the first layer to protect the wearer from external conditions. In some embodiments, the second layer may be affixed to the first layer at an area within the pocket.
SUN PROTECTIVE GARMENTS
A sun protective garment that includes a garment front that is an ultraviolet protective (UVP) fabric having a channel and a cord that extends through the channel is described. The cord secures the garment around a user's neck such that the garment front drapes over a user's chest. By arranging the garment front of the sun protective garment on the user, it protects against ultraviolet (UV) damage to the user's chest area when the user is exposed to sunlight.
Ballistic-Resistant Garment
A ballistic-resistant garment having a tensioning fastening system, and methods of making and using such a ballistic-resistant garment, whereby the ballistic-resistant garment includes (i) a front panel having a front panel pocket configured to receive a first ballistic-resistant insert; (ii) a back panel having a back panel pocket configured to receive a second ballistic-resistant insert; (iii) a front panel elastic elongate member coupled to the front panel; (iv) a front panel first fastener coupled to a front panel elastic elongate member first end; (v) a front panel second fastener coupled to a front panel elastic elongate member second end; (vi) a back panel elastic elongate member coupled to the back panel; (vii) a back panel first fastener coupled to a back panel elastic elongate member first end; and (viii) a back panel second fastener coupled to a back panel elastic elongate member second end.
APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTING THE HUMAN BODY BY ABSORBING AND DISSIPATING FORCES IMPARTED TO THE BODY
A protective garment that prevents concussive effects on internal organs. The garment many include a garment body; and, embedded in the garment body, multiple pads. The pads may comprise: at least one aramid layer; at least one multi-durometer foam layer having a substantially similar surface area to that provided by the at least one aramid layer; and at least one shield layer.
